WARM IN THE SHADOWS is the third in a trio of vinyl-only three-song 12-inch singles released by Music Go Music over the course of 12 months. The title track is an instantly catchy synth-pop tune in a vintage 1980s style, given an epic scope through its nearly 10-minute length. Similarly, "Thousand Crazy Nights" recalls the urgent dance rock of Berlin's early hits, while "Love, Violent Love" is closer to the elaborate melodrama of Lene Lovich's classic new wave hits, minus her vocal idiosyncracies. All told, it's an enjoyable way to spend 18 minutes.
