    Couldn't put it down

I had never read anything by the late horror master Algernon Blackwood. To my great surprise this book of short horror stories surpassed my wildest expectations. I could not put the book down until I finished it.

    What else can I say?

Not for those with short attention spans

This is a collection of classic horror stories that, in my opinion, are some of the best in the world. Especially liked Algernon Blackwood's tales. First time I read him, but it won't be the last. Really good value for $1!

    more from this reviewer

    Absolutely boring as heck!

These horror stories are dull, laborious, and are not in the slightest bit scary or suspenseful. It's as if the author pretended to be a "master" horror writer from the turn of the century because he had nothing original or frightening to offer readers.

I read the entire book and can't find any redeeming qualities. You shouldn't waste your time or money.
