Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"A worthy second installment, WARRIOR by Cheryl Brooks, whet my appetite for more! I can't wait for my next visit to the world that this talented author writes about. " - Romance Junkies
Romance Junkies
The amazing world built by Ms. Brooks drew me in but it was the well written plot and entrancing two main characters that kept me there. I could feel Tisana's loneliness and desire to find the one man fated for her. Leo's sexy and sensual prowess was over the top playful but emotional and tender as well. - Romance Junkies
— Natasha Smith
The Romantic Times
This second in Brooks' Cat Star series once again presents a sexy and fascinating hero. It also introduces a strong heroine with some interesting psychic powers. The animals lend a light and humorous tone, and the ending is nicely blood free. It certainly leaves the reader eager for the next story featuring these captivating aliens. - The Romantic Times

Read an Excerpt

I watched the horse and rider disappear into the night before returning to attend to my latest charge. Rafe had said he was cat-like, but I'd had no idea what to expect. As I washed the grime from his face, I found old scars along with several more recent scrapes and bruises. What could he possibly have done to deserve such punishment? I began to fear what dangers might lurk within him when he awakened. If he chose to escape, I had no doubt that he could overpower me when he recovered, for his chest and arms were well-muscled, though not with the heavy power which Rafe possessed. No, this man's muscles were hard, but leaner and more sinewy, like those of a hunting cat, and even covered with scabs and bruises, he looked strong. Having treated the wounds on his chest, I undressed his lower body-and got the surprise of my life.

    Boring

It was boring. I bought all 4 books in the series and I had to struggle through all of them. If you are looking for a good series try sherrilyn kennon or chrisyine feehan. lets not forget lara adrian's midnight breed. Ther is also gena showalters lords of the underworld series. There are alot of awesome authors out ther Cherryl brooks just isn't one of them.

    I Also Recommend:

    Ms. Brooks does it again

Warrior is the follow-up to the first Cat Star Chronicle book, Slave, and for the second time Ms. Brooks creates such a vibrant world and drool worthy hero that I just couldn't put the book down!

I will say that I enjoyed Slave just a bit more, as the book made me laugh and cry (a good romance book can bring a tear to your eye). I didn't have any tears for Warrior, but the fast action plot and lovable supporting characters (all animals) kept me hooked.

If you'd like a nice escape from life, pick up Warrior and let yourself be swept away!

    I Also Recommend:

    Cheryl does it again!

The second book in the Cat Star Chronicles series takes us to a whole different kind of world than before in Slave. This world is a sort of medieval world with very minor technology. Tisana, the main character woman, is a witch with the ability to create fire with her eyes and is quite adept at mixing potions. Leo, who was recently purcashed as a slave, is brought to her to be treated. In the end the romance starts to develop and Tisana discovers just how much she wants Leo to be free.

Worst read I had in years.

So I heard the reviews on the series and due to the positive reviews made the worst mistake ever and bought slave, warrior, and rogue all at the same time, thankfully outcast wasnt in stock. after reading the first one I was very disappointed. In the begining I thought the writing would become more engaging but I literally had to force myself to read each page as I went on. I like the concept of the unique Zetithian male species but really the charcters were lacking, the plot was barely ok, and the romance and and sexual scenes were very repititive throughout the series and fell short of creating any real fire. I constantly felt like the writer went off into tangents when writing this, and basically the writing style was just not up to par, and ruined the whole story, I really think each story had potential just for the simple fact that the universe they were set in was interesting but when it came down to writing these stories Brooks didnt deliver at all. The writing was very amateur and hopefully with a lot of practice Brooks can learn to write in a way that capitivates her reading audience.

    Another great one!

I absolutely loved book 2 in this wonderful Sci-Fi series created by Cheryl Brooks. This adventure was a joy to read, and another page turner for me as well. I love the world that were where taken to this time, a Utopian planet. This book had great character development and I loved the main character. Her ability to communicate with animals made me laughed out loud many times with this one. Conversions between her and the animals was so fun at times and so well done. This is a great rainy day read when you just want to escape reality.

    Great 2nd book

This is a futuristic story. There have been 4 books released in this series. I found each one enjoyable. I like the characters and plots set on different planets. Each book is a stand alone, but reading them in order does help keep track of the characters. All 4 I consider keepers to read again.
