Warrior’s Moon by Lucy Monroe is another compelling story set in the Children of the Moon’s world. Shona was rejected by the man she loved many years ago and was forced by her family to marry a stuffy English Baron. Upon his recent death she and her children no longer feel save in the company of her husband’s family. Shona is determined to find what’s left of her family and set off to Balmoral Island. To get their they must travel through Sinclair land. Imagine her shock when she see the man you left her alone and with child. Caelis left his people to live among the Sinclair’s. He needed their training and help to eventually overthrow the pack leader who is ruining the MacLeod clan. His world is shaken to its core when he sees Shona and her son and daughter. Her son Eadan is Caelis spitting image, this revelation leads Caelis to finally believe that his pack leader lied and betrayed them both. Caelis and Shona slowly learn to trust each other and to relay on each other. But to be able to forge a future they must confront Caelis pack leader and uncover the truth. Will this new found love be able to withstand those that will fight to keep Caelis from taking control. Warrior’s Moon delves into another world with passion and intrigue. Caelis and Shona have a painful past to overcome and watching them find their way back to each other is compelling and sensual. It’s an added treat to revisit past Children of the Moon characters and to see how their stories are still ongoing. This series is a must read for any paranormal romance reader.

This is the sixth book in the Children of the Moon series, and definitely worth reading. I’ve wanted to read this series about shape shifters but haven’t had the opportunity until this book and I was not disappointed because I loved it. What I really like is that I did not have to read any of the prior books before reading this one. It was so mesmerizing that I had a really hard when I had to put it down because it I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I will definitely be reading the previous books so that I can find out what happened before with the other characters lives.  Caelis sent away the only woman he would ever love in order to protect her. She is human, and he’s been told that shifters do not mate with humans, so it is not possible that she is his mate. He felt that there was nothing else that he could do. Time has passed and he still has no reason to doubt the words of his Alpha, so when he is told that Shona is dead he believes it. It’s been a few years and he’s learned many things about their Alpha, including that everything he’s been told about Shona was a lie. He has accepted that it might be too late to be with the woman he loves, but it is his duty to save his people. Until one day his life is drastically turned upside down within minutes. Is this his chance to make up for all the wrongs he’s done to Shona or has that mistake cost him the only woman he will ever love? It has been six years since Shona was forced to leave the man she loved and she left with a secret, or so she thought. Her parents forced her into a loveless marriage to an English baron who was much older than her, but now she is finally free or so she thought… Her stepson has decided that he wants her to be his mistress, so in order to save herself and to protect her children she runs for her life and that of her children. She heads north, back to the only family she has left in Scotland, but while traveling she is stopped for trespassing on private lands.  It is during this stop that she asked to accompany the men to the owner’s keep, and thus reunited with the one man who can really hurt her, but he may also be the only man who can protect her.    Caelis takes the responsibility to save his pack along with their families from the corruption of their laird very seriously. Now that Shona is back in his life he is determined not to lose her, even if that means that the only way to prove his love to her is to walk away from the pack. Will she let him walk away just to be with her or will she stand beside him and fight? I won Warrior’s Moon through Goodreads first-reads in exchange for an honest review.

Shona is escaping the horrors of England and heading back to her homeland of Scotland to seek protection for her and her children from an evil Baron. She never expected to run into the man who showed her how to love and then took it all away, changing her life forever. Caelis has never forgotten the woman he loved six years ago, his mate, but doesn’t know where she is or if she even still lives… until she shows up at the keep. Six years ago he believed his laird that she was not his true mate and he pushed her away, but he won’t let her go so easy this time. I loved this book just as much as I loved the others! Shona and Caelis’ story was real (well as real as shape-shifting Highlanders can get). Mistakes were made when they were younger and now Caelis wants to make it right and make up for what he has done, but is it too late? Shona has a lot of anger and sadness when it comes to Caelis and she has to decide if she will ever be able to let go of these feelings and be able to forgive Caelis so they can start again, but it is not an easy decision and she definitely does not make it in haste. Lots of old characters are brought back and you get their “after stories” as well. Lucy Monroe does an amazing job setting the stage for upcoming events that will effect all of the beloved characters and leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book! If you have a love of fantasy and historical fiction (and delicious over-bearing Highlanders), you’ll love Lucy’s Children of the Moon series!

I loved this book. I have read all of the books in the series, but didn't really care for the last one. I was very pleased to find I liked this one as much as the first 2. This has become my favoirite series.

Oh WOW!! How can I write a review that would described the actual deliciousness Warrior's Moon is!! I love second chances and this story is beautiful in that Caelis gets his second chance but Shona makes him work for every iota of it...she has been wronged, hurt, and suffered pain that should be placed where it deserves..at Caelis' feet! But Lucy Monroe's characters are so real that you feel their despair and then with her talented ability to write words you feel happiness, compassion, love and such a myriad of emotions that each character is a personal friend. I love Ms. Monroe's contemporary romances but I will never pass another paranormal with her name printed on it!! I can't wait to read the rest of her "Children of the Moon" series!!

This was a great addition to this series. I loved Caelis and I truly felt for him when he saw Shona and her children for the first time. Caelis thought he would never see Shona his true mate again and Shona never wanting to see Caelis again after his rejection of her. The secondary characters in the story were so charming you couldn't help but fall in love with them. Shona's children Eadan and Marjory were so well written and lovable I wanted to just hug them. Audrey, Thomas and Vegar just added so much to the overall story I can't wait o read more about all of them. If I have one compliant about this book it was I felt Shona was a bit whinny.

I have enjoyed this whole series. This one was alittle slow in the beginning. At one point I wanted to slap Shorna. It is a good read. My favorite in the series is "Moon Craving". is there going to be another box? I hope so.....

Worst of the series, the plot was flat, and the internal monologues of the characters ran on without leading to significant character development
