Children's Literature - Patricia Timbrook
Question: Who can grab the attention of a young teen today, fill his thoughts with wisdom and encouragement, help him sort out the differences between good and bad peer pressures, and challenge him to godly living? Answer: Pastor and author Kevin Johnson in this early teen devotional. Circumspectly and adeptly written in the "slang-uage" for today's teen, the book zeroes in on problematic school situations that a teen faces daily. Then, like a spiritual mentor, Johnson offers sound biblical principles to help, and he "hugs" that teen throughout the entire book with words of love and truth--"Whoever you are, you're not stealing space on this planet. You belong. You have a right to exist." Question: What teen would not benefit from reading this book?
