I bought this app about a year after I moved to DC and I still find it really really helpful, even more than a year later! I love that I don't have to be hooked up to wifi to use it and that it updates regularly - whenever I am in a wifi zone. The restaurant reviews and menus are very helpful when I'm trying to find a quick bite to eat or something new, and I use the map feature all the time. If you're a native, new to the DC area, or just visiting for a bit, this is a very informative and easy-to-use app!

My husband and I tried to use the DC City Guide App without much luck. We found that not all the attractions were listed, many of the National Museums were not listed in the Guide. We took a cab to a restaurant that was suggested~ spent $12 on a cab only to find out that it was shut down, this happened at 2 restaurants. The direction indicator with milages was not accurate. The places we tried to get to were much futher than the milage said~ when you are walking this is huge! I am not sure if we would bother with this app for any other City visits.

This is not a Global Positioning Ap, although it knows where you live. It is meant to be a compendium of hotel ratings and surrounding areas of interest. It works well. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Planning a trip to DC this summer, and this app is very useful. I love the fact that you can use it offline. Descriptions of the attractions are detailed. One thing I didn't like: for the attractions where you need to buy tickets, when you're connected to wifi and click on the link to buy tickets, you are not offered tickets to that attraction alone - the only ticket offers I got were for guided tours that include that attraction. And of course these guided tours cost more than tickets to that attraction alone. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

We have a timeshare location in the Alexandria area. This app provides us everything we need when looking for restaurants and sightseeing opportunities nearby.
I love that I can update the app and not have to be connected to wifi to use it.
Thanks for including this in the Nook Store.
