Not a bad book, just a little unbelievable how fast they fell head over heels in love. The last few chapters were actually pretty good and the only reason i gave this book 3 stars instead of 2! If you're looking for a cheesy love story then this is the book for you.

This book started out ok. But after the two main charcters got together it was kind of sappy to me. The guy falls head over heels in love with the girl almost immediately. Not very believable at all. I just couldnt finish this book. It was just way to unbeluevable in the love department.

Watching Fireflies was the book that got me hooked to the series. Its initial chapters were so captivating that I refused to keep this book down. I fell in love with COWBOYS. This story is thrown into steamy hotness, revolving around a girl, Jordan who just wants to stay away from the past. This cowboy, Tom, filled her with desire, a desire not only involving lust, but love. It is such a sweet story, with beautifully written style. It is filled with humor and is bound to make you laugh. I love Jaycee and her writing. This book is not read by me just once, but thrice. It is definitely one of the best reads with SEXY HOT COWBOYS!

Neither Jordan nor Tom are looking for love, but when they meet, things change. Jordan falls for Tom a little quicker than I would have expected for someone in her particular situation, but their chemistry is strong from the start. Speaking of which, how they meet is pretty funny too. The characters felt real and they had substance. They were characters I enjoyed rooting for. Watching Fireflies is a cute and steamy romance with some humor and suspense mixed in all the right places. Watching Fireflies by Jaycee Ford was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

This is Jordan and Tom’s story. This story pulls you right in. Tom is sweet and very protective. He is attracted to Jordan as soon as he sees her. He knows that he needs to get Jordan to give him a chance. Jordan is running from her ex and is just trying to lie low. Her ex is bothering her and she does not need another alpha male trying to catch her. This story is full of sweet love and has a few twists and turns that involve the ex. When the ex comes to town what will he want and what does he have planned? With Tom and Jordan end up together or will the Jordan’s ex figure out a way to destroy everything? Tom and Jordan’s sweet and steamy love pulls you into the story but Tom and Jordan’s fierce love will keep you flipping the pages. Can’t wait to read the other books in this series. I highly recommend this story and this series.

This debut novel from Jaycee Ford had me smiling, giggling and my heart beating erratically page by page. I immediately connected with the leading lady, Jordan Hawthorne. She has her demons and her flaws, but she is a hard-headed, determined, likable, and confident in such a way that you can’t help but route for her. Especially when she left home in such a hurried fashion due to a douchey ex and needs to put as many miles as possible between them. She isn’t necessarily prepared for love again, but ends up walking right into it … more like “he” walked right into it, rather *snicker* (read this book!) What’s not to love when it comes to Tom McCloud? He is fiercely loyal and passionate and in awe of a beautiful woman … especially when he accidently stumbles into witnessing her naked in tub. I think I blushed for him. He’s incredibly charming and pulls this story along, while keeping Jordan level, too. Sure, they fall in love with each other, but it’s the way that Tom is so enamored with her that really has me swooning. Did I mention he’s a sexy cowboy as well? The cast of characters that reveal themselves throughout the story are equally as likable and help everything come together nicely as it sets the stage of small town living perfectly. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series just to see how the lives of some of these characters pan out. They are all as intriguing and swoon/smile worthy as the main characters. The ending to this is turbulent and exciting in the best way, and the way the pages come to “The End” you will be grinning like an idiot too. I know I was. Can’t wait to get my hands on this whole series. Any lover of romance won't be able to put it down.

I loved every bit of "Watching Fireflies" for this being Jaycee Ford's first book she did amazing. I mean you felt the love, the sexual attraction, the intensity of the good and bad situations. Your eyes would water up with every good or bad situation. I felt my heart race at certain moments. Tom McCloud what a cowboy he is. A farmer who worked his families ranch with his friends after his families passing from high school on. A man who thought he was invincible until he me Jordan Hawthorne. Jordan Hawthorne who was a recent graduate on the run from he stalker ex-fiancé landed a teaching job in a small town. Took a bath and closed her eyes to relax only to wake up to one hell of a sexy cowboy. One who kept her heart locked up and it broken into by this cowboy. Yes people I solely recommend you check out this book. It is a perfect read in my opinion.

The blurb grabbed my attention when I read this book. And I can honestly say I loved it. I felt from the start I couldn't wait to get to the next page.  Once I started I couldn't put it down. It was a long night until I was finished. I think at one point I was on the edge of my seat. trying as fast as I could to get to the next page.  It was a stunning story of betrayal, angst, friendship, new beginnings, stalkers and hot cowboys.  Jordan is in college, is engaged and has secured a prestiges position as a teacher in her home town. After finishing her finals, she decides to surprise her fiancé by coming home early. But she ends up with the surprise.  And things end up up changing for everyone.  Sorry no spoilers guys, but this book is recommended for your "TBR" List.  I loved everything about it. The characters, the setting, the way the story flowed. I felt like I was watching a movie play out in my mind. And ladies holy moly ...... Hot Cowboys, did I already say that.  I cant wait for the next book. This book is a standalone book. The series will feature different characters from the story.  Jaycee.  This book was stunning. Truly amazing.  I give this 5/5 stars and 2/5 for movie moments.

4½ Contented Stars Favorite Quotes: “You’re making my heart do things it’s never done before.” “He gave me a mix of nervous excitement and calm.  I didn’t know how it was possible, but it was.” My Review: Sweet!  I enjoyed this book beginning to end.  It was truly refreshing to read a contemporary romance where the two main characters are not in constant conflict with each other, nor do they fight their attraction, deny their feelings, or feel they have to “let them go” for their own good.  They adored and loved each other, enjoyed and explored a new love, and reveled in each other.  Why is that so rare?  The conflict, as there always has to be some… came from an external source and proved to be the vortex of the suspense elements in the book.  I had not read Jaycee Ford before and had no expectations.  I am now a new fan.  I enjoyed her easy narrative, humor, and observations.  Her characters were interesting and comfortable.  The book was an easy and fast read, a providing me with a pleasant and entertaining afternoon.  One I would like to repeat with even more of her work.
