You’re stuck in here with me!
A nice, well made “widescreen” book featuring very large and detailed images from the Watchmen movie. And while this is called an art book - and there is definitely a chapter about concept art - most of the book consists of detailed photographs of the sets, costumes and props from the film.
It’s of special interest to me to see just how exactly they recreated the environments from the comic for the film. The close up images of background sets really drive home how meticulous the filmmakers were, even down to the action figures in Veidt’s office. Very impressive, just don’t expect lots to read. There are a few pages of text at the start of each chapter, but after that it’s mainly images and the occasional caption. Even so, there is quite a lot to pour over whenever it strikes your fancy.
If you love the movie, this is a great companion piece.
