I've been painting watercolors for 30 years and have dozens of books. This one is a treasure. I enjoy reading and re-reading this book, as it is well written and interesting. I recommend it especially for the experienced watercolor painter, as it provides new perspectives and detailed technical information to optimize color choices and application techniques. The book provides valuable and inspiring information on color mixing and glazing that goes well beyond the norm found in other books. It covers much more than color mixing, and deals with pigment staining, granulation, irridescence, and transparency impacts on the various combinations. Very useful techniques and results provided for the quintadones, cobalts, prima-teks. The book talks about color combinations for skies, skin tones, water scenes, etc.
