THE FIRST TIME I HEARD 'WATERMARK'I CAUGHT MY BREATH AS TEARS DRIFTED DOWN MY CHEEKS. THIS IRISH BEAUTY HAD CAPTURED IN HER STUDIO SOMEWHERE IN IRELAND,DUBLIN? A SOUND THAT REACHED BEYOND HER OWN WORLD. LEARNING LATER, ENYA PREFERS STUDIO SESSIONS TO LIVE CONCERTS I WAS NOT DISSAUGED.ONLY TWICE HAS SHE BEEN SEEN ON THE TUBE. This album is sad and beautiful. Some of the tracks are uplifting. Like Cursum perficio Storms of africa and orinoco flow. But mostly melcholic. reflctive. and yearning. My favorite tracks are cursum perficio Miss clare remember's and evening falls. my personal favorite is Exile. The reason i love it so much. It deals with Waiting for a loved one going home from a war. and bringing two lovers togather from seperation. This is one of my best new age albums i'v bought. Lillian pandola.

I love this album as much, perhaps more even, than I did when it first came out. Wonderfully new and refreshing at the time, it draws me back now with a spirit of the best of the past.

The capturing tunes of Enya sweep you off your feet and take you to another world.A world of peace and quiet where you can unwind. I love listening to her music very much and hope that others will be carried away with her beautiful music. Enjoy!!!!!

Welp, I have to admit, Enya is definitely my most favorite artist. I want every one of her CDs! Except The Frog Prince one and the singles. But anyway, I listen to this 1 CD over and over! I like every song on here, and on every CD she has made except The Frog Prince. I usually dont like most of the songs on my CDs. So, I would reccomend this to all people. Or maybe this is just music you like or dont like, there's not an in-between. Just listen to some of the samples! All these songs are great! I just can't stop raving about it!

I am a new fan of Enya,so all of her albums are new to me.I have 7 CDs and I love all of them.Watermark is definitely my favorite.It also has my favorite Enya song.Exile.I have not heard one bad song from her yet! In all my 43 years,she is the only artist I can say that about.I think Enya,Nicky,and Roma make a great team.Some people say all of her songs sound the same? I don't know where they come up with this.I have not heard 2 songs that sound alike to me.Some people need to LISTEN!!!Some people say Enya needs to change her style.Do you people wont Enya to start playing alot of sorry rock and roll? Enya's true talent lies in what she does now.Soft,gentle music that is pleasant to listen to.If this is what you like,then you will enjoy Enya's music as much as I do.LISTEN AND ENJOY!

Enya relaxes me when almost nothing else will. The only other CD I've found that makes me feel so calm is Genie Nilsson's Whisper.

I HAVE HEARD ORINOCO FLOW (SAIL AWAY, SAIL AWAY)FOR YEARS AND NEVER NEW IT WAS ENYA, UNTIL A FRIEND OF MINE LONE ME THE WATERMARK CD.ENYA IS IN A CLASS BY HERSELF, IN HER ABILITIES BOTH LYRICALLY AND MUSICALLY. THE BEST PART ABOUT HER MUSIC IS THAT EVERY SONG IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, THERE ARE NO SIMILARITIES WHICH MAKES IT EVEN MORE ENJOYABLE. HER MUSIC WILL GIVE YOU A WARM FEELING INSIDE, AND YOU CAN'T HELP BUT FOCUS ON THE BEAUTY OF THIS ARTIST!

This is a superior album that showcases Enya's lovely vocals and combines them with sweeping musical arrangements to create a lush soundscape. Some of my favorite songs are ''Watermark'', ''Cursum Perficio'', ''On Your Shore'', ''The Longships'' and ''Na Laetha Geal M'oige''. This is a terrific album and one of Enya's best. Be sure to purchase this exceptional album!

I will always associate the title and the music ''Orinoco'' with the first English novel -- not written by Daniel Defoe, as we were told in grade school, but by Ms. Aphra Behn, of the time & place of Restoration England. Not only was her novel a ''first'', it was powerfully abolitionist before even the Quakers questioned the morality of slavery! Sure, it had many of the faults of ''Uncle Tom's Cabin'', but what do you want from the 17th century? She was an original, with vision, passion, compassion and wit, just like Enya. May Orinoco always flow!

Nicki Ryan's voice never soothed so much as on this, her first release. A few of these songs speak into the flesh, as if the very introns are responding ( for me, anyhow ;-). The emotional expression of the title track, ''Miss Clare Remembers,'' and ''Evening Falls,'' are simply captivating. Her voice at times carries a glimpse of old world magic. On this seminal album, the spell is fresh.

I have all of Enya's CDs and think she is remarkable. Her songs are very soothing and catchy, for example, 'ON YOUR SHORE'. I enjoy listening to her throughout the day. Highly recommended.

Thanks to its distinct, downright catchy single "Orinoco Flow," which amusingly referenced both her record-company boss Rob Dickins and co-producer Ross Cullum in the lyrics, Enya's second album Watermark established her as the unexpected queen of gentle, Celtic-tinged new age music. To be sure, her success was as much due to marketing a niche audience in later years equally in love with Yanni and Michael Flatley's Irish dancing, but Enya's rarely given a sense of pandering in her work. She does what she does, just as she did before her fame. Admittedly, avoiding overblown concerts run constantly on PBS hasn't hurt. Indeed, the subtlety that characterizes her work at her ...
