That day, Red, Tux and Two socks spent their morning on the porch watching the gentle rain. Red had thoughts of Rowdy and felt uncomfortable. She didn't really understand what had happened in the barn with Rowdy, but she knew she didn't want to be alone with him. She was afraid of Rowdy.
When the rain stopped and the sun came out, everything was warm and clean. Red wanted to say something to her brothers but couldn't. She thought she had done something wrong and would be in trouble if she said anything, so she remained quiet.
