Meet the Author

Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer (January 9, 1902 – June 26, 1975) was a Roman Catholic priest from Spain and the founder of Opus Dei. He was canonized in 2002 by Pope John Paul II, who declared Saint Josemaría should be "counted among the great witnesses of Christianity."

In 'The Way,' Josemaria Escriva gives us 999 inspiriational sayings, anecodtes, and aphorisms on 46 widely varied topics such as character, humility, perseverance, joy, and prayer. Each one is a spark to ignite God's fire in your soul, so that we may find 'The Way' to Christ.

First read this book in high school in one sitting then my older brother who gave it to me told me its to help me pray, so I have used it for mental prayer ever since. Thank you St . Josemaria.
