Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
This series of Ninjago books features Lego characters. Kai is a young man learning to make a sword. An old man suddenly appeared in the blacksmith shop and commented that what he saw were the tools for a samurai but not a ninja. That night an army of skeleton warriors poured into the village. What were they looking? Apparently it was an important map that had been entrusted to Kai's father. Not only did they steal the map; they kidnapped Kai's sister. Sensei Wu reappeared and explain what had happened and why. Kai is told that he must become a master of Spinjitzu if he wants to get his sister back and also retrieve the four weapons of Spinjitzu. So Kai became a ninja in training. When he completed his training he is given a red uniform to indicate that he is the Master of Fire. Sensei Wu explains that Spinjitzu will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found. Kai and the other ninja are now prepared for their next adventure and to learn the secret of Spinjitzu. Ninjango is a hit

My 8 1/2 year old grandson requested this book as a friend was reading it. I ordered the book and as soon as it came he started reading it and finished it in an hour. Girls about the same age may also enjoy this book and the series.

    Great for young Ninjago fans

If your child loves Ninjago, he/she will love this book. However, it is geared for the young child (my son is 5 years old).
