Seldom does a true gem of a book come along like Hanshi Stephen Kaufman’s new “The Way of the Modern Warrior”. This book is a guideline for living the Samurai idea in the 21st century, and presents Kaufman’s principles for achieving this goal with his wit and years of matrial art experience. However, this is not an easy book to read, and cannot be read like a novel. Hanshi Kaufman says a lot in a few words, and I found the best way to get the full effect of the book is to read each principle, re-read it, and then pause for contemplation on his message before moving on to the next principle. The book covers many aspects of life and shares the ancient samurai’s code of bushido, of living and conduct as applied to modern life. Get this book , read and study it carefully, and apply the principles to your life. I guarantee you will feel rewarded for your endeavor.
