Way to be by Gordon B. Hinckley is one of the best books I have ever read. This book perfectly illustrates what kids my age should be doing with my life. Way to be is a book with no main character, plot, or story line. Way to be is a book with nine life morals that he has singled out. These morals are like lessons or rules to live by to make your life more enjoyable so you can live your live to the fullest. These nine rules or "ways to be" are: Be Grateful, Be smart, Be involved, Be Clean, Be True, Be Positive, Be Humble, Be Still, and Be Prayerful. Each lesson has a little story and explanation of what the rule means. For example, Be Clean talks about how we need to be wary in our youth of the filth that is in our every day life and how easily we can be caught up in the lies and sins of today, which can easily mar our ways and scar us for life. Each lesson complements the next one and all together all the lessons are truly great rules to live by. After reading this book I applied each rule to my every day life and have seen a tremendous change. I think that all of today's youth read this book we would see a tremendous change in the quality of the world we live in. If this book were a required read then no one would have any questions of what to do in rough situations, or if the activities they take part in are good or bad. I recommend this book to everyone young or old, but especially to the people who have lost their way and are struggling to define their character and find out what their purpose on life is. All in all I think this book in a excellent read it has really had an effect on the quality of my life and I would be thrilled if any one else read this review and decided to pick this book up and gave it a read because I assure them that it will not be a waste of time. Even though this book has no thrilling storey I'm sure the lessons they will learn can relate to a time in their life, good or bad. And if they see the evil they have been taking part in I'm sure that they would be prompted to change their ways and build up their quality life. -Logan Sant

Way to Be is a great map book for the road of life. I have read it many times and find something inspiring every time. President Hinckley is very wise and shares many touching, personal experiences and stories he learned as a young boy. He counsels youth and parents (and this doesn't apply to only them) to be good citizens and be good people. Who would not want help in finding out how to improve upon themselves? The words and messages of this book have given me a lot to think about and even more to be grateful for. I recomend this for everyone, especially for those who are seeking to know their best self.
