With an intriguing mix of romance, mystery, and suspense, We Belong Together is a subtly gripping read. In it, author Barbara Grovner takes the reader on an eye-opening journey into the twisted lives of a quite interesting menagerie of eclectic characters. In a world where devious schemes and sinister motives rule the day, one can expect a considerable amount of salacious, unbridled scandal - and, in that respect, We Belong Together certainly doesn't disappoint. Given how rapacious they often prove to be, it almost gets to the point where you find it difficult to root for Grovner's characters to be successful in their endeavors, but she nonetheless succeeds in drawing you into them and their antics so deeply that you can't help caring about their ultimate fates - no matter how twisted they may be.
A striking portrait of humanity at its most raw, We Belong Together is nothing if not entertaining.
