Reviewed by JoAnne Book provided by the author for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book This was a romance anthology but not at all what I expected. There were 11 short stories that spanned all romance genres – paranormal, shapeshifter, gay and lesbian, historical and contemporary amongst others. Included were many genres that I normally would not read or be a fan of, but I have to say they were enjoyable reads even when outside of my comfort zone especially since I would classify most as erotica. The best part of the book is that having grown up in NY before moving to CT in my late teens I was very familiar with where the stories were set in NY and could identify and see myself in many of the locations – Brooklyn, Times Square, Harlem, the West Side, Hell’s Kitchen, the subways and the NY Public Library to name a few. I see this book having a very select market and feel they could have reached more of the population if the book was more vanilla. Favorite Quote: From: In A City of Eight Million People by Adam Carpenter And then he was gone, back down into the subway system, ready to head home. As for me, I started walking. Suddenly the snow, the cold, neither bothered me. I was warm from Sean’s kisses, from his touch, from his phone call…
