    Quick, practical read.

If you've read a few of these types of books, you know that they are often full of hype and cheerleading. This book largely avoids those pitfalls, and manages to offer some practical advice in every chapter. I've been a business owner since 1996 and a freelancer since 2005. These guys were right on the money in terms of identifying some of my bad habits and thought patterns, and presenting some practical advice. Yes, the authors try to brand every concept with a proprietary name and TM mark, but that's just how these books are done. Ignore that, and this book represents money and time well spent.

12 Secrets To Creating the Optimal Freelancer's Lifestyle

A lot of books out there talk about the basics of setting up a freelance business and give you plenty of marketing ideas, but how many focus on concrete methods of finding top notch clients to work with everyday?

Steve Slaunwhite, Pete Savage and Ed Gandia are three wealthy freelancers (not surprisingly all happen to be copywriters) who have spent many years cultivating their own businesses and finding out what works. But they don't leave you with strategies that are simply "good enough." They teach you high percentage methods of prospecting for, cultivating and nurturing great clients; people and companies you'll want to work with for years to come.

You'll also appreciate the sections on power pricing, creating alternative streams of income for your business, and boosting productivity.

And the best part? The advice in the book applies to all freelancers. I'm a writer, but those considering or already immersed in other types of freelance businesses will be equally well served. In it you'll find a path to the freelance lifestyle that YOU want. Isn't that why you picked up the book in the first place?
