Mr.Troupe incorporates all his 'jazz aesthetic', musical rhythym, and brilliant fusion of techniques in this early poetry collection. Seen with more personal tributes to friends, family, and places, this collection also presents such diverse collages of vernacular as 'Skulls Along the River' & 'A Poem for Magic' (tribute to the great bball player himself). Currently a Third-World Literature professor at UCSD, Troupe shares his eloquent genius and novel use of music/poetry form in a great sampling of his wide array of technoques. An essential companion for his other collections such as Avalanche and Choruses. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
