"Gipson focuses on inexpensive, easy-to-use rigid heddle looms in this much-needed addition, including an extensive overview of weaving basics and a collection of accessible, attractive patterns." - Library Journal

"Destined to become a classic reference book...Stellar!" - Blisstree.com

"Easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions... Most of the featured projects are designed with either earth or jeweltones, causing the woven stitches to pop from the pages of the book." - Detroit News

Library Journal
The simple loom in question is the rigid heddle loom, which is much less complicated and cheaper than a multishaft loom and is the entry-level tool for many weavers. Though focusing primarily on her 17 projects, Gipson also includes the basics of rigid heddle loom use. (LJ 4/15/09)

I need a rigid heddle loom!!!

I've been reading up on weaving, and this is one of the more comprehensive books I've found. The only problem: I don't have a loom yet (well, except for a zoom loom and a mini loom)! This book is project based-- but also illustrates how simple the process of weaving actually is... Next step, buy a loom!
