Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Allison Fetters
When Hal Jordan, The Green Lantern, is tasked with mediating a peace treaty between Talesca and Juray, he encounters the relentless hatred of each toward the other. Just when he thinks they are making progress, he learns that both planets are being attacked; each thinking the other is responsible. Before allowing the leaders from Talesca and Juray to jump to conclusions, Jordan insists they investigate. He quickly learns that another enemy, Kiriazis, is behind the attacks. Hal must use all of Green Lanterns' tactics to stop the attacks and ensure peace. The glossary is succinct and informative as it provides clear definitions for new words presented in the text. The illustrations throughout are artistically displayed contributing to the overall artistic and entertaining quality of the text. The supplemental information, such as the discussion questions, writing prompts, and on-line suggestions, provide the reader with additional resources to explore the world of the Green Lantern in greater detail. "DC Super Heroes Green Lantern" series. Reviewer: Allison Fetters
