Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
Sturdy in every sense, the fourth edition of the Webster's New World justifies its ten years of preparation. The definitions are precise; the type, easy to read; the format, reader-friendly (e.g., geographical and biographical terms are defined within the main A-Z listings.) Associated Press has picked this version as its standard for its deadline-driven editors and reorters. Time-stressed students and booksellers might want to heed their choice.

    Everything a dictionary should be

I looked up several words in every dictionary in the store before buying this one. It had the most complete etymology and the most words; isn't this what we buy a dictionary for?

    Essencial.

We are hispanic, my kids are elementary's students, and they prefered to look for words in this dictionary than the bilingual dictionary. They understand everything, and find everything.
My husband is an engineer, graduated in Texas. He also find this dictinary very helpful.
