Ex-Intelligence officer Jake Larson was on a top-secret mission and didn't need some "wife" tagging along. But feisty P.I. Allie St. James had followed Jake to the White Sands Resort on her own investigation, giving them the perfect coverÂ…as loving newlyweds. Now Jake not only had to expose an elusive criminal, he had to keep his hands off the woman sleeping next to him, and she hadn't a clue who he really was.
Allie realized inviting herself on Jake's "vacation" wasn't wise, but she couldn't miss the opportunity to infiltrate the resort and get to know the all-too-secretive businessman. Then true danger struck when they were forced to take all-too-realistic wedding vows. Suddenly they were facing the toughest opponent of their lives—their own long-hidden desires!

Having read numerous series romances, this one is a gem. I laughed, cried and cheered the hero and heroine throughout their dangers and their discovery of love for each other. This is a romance with depth and complex layering. A satisfying read. But don't start it unless you have time to read all the way through at one sitting!

Wedding at White Sands packs a powerful emotional punch, even as it delights and surprises. Suspense fans will appreciate the well-plotted intrigue that never shortchanges a decidedly sexy romance. Complex, memorable characters make this debut book a must-read. I eagerly await Catherine Mann's Air Force trilogy!

This book had me from the first line. When you think you have figured it all out...you haven't. No one is what they seem when you first meet them. Just when you want to scream from the sexual tension between the hero and the heroine, look out. The suspense and excitement doesn¿t end until the last chapter. I loved the last scene between the hero and the heroine...it couldn't have ended any other way. I look forward to Mrs. Mann¿s next book in September `02.
