Overview

Seared into Rebecca's memory were her mother's final words, "The trunk, guard it carefully. There is in it your only hope."

Orphaned while still a young girl, Rebecca's only tangible heritage was a trunk which contained a wedding dress and a small black book. Concluding that her only hope was associated with the dress and the future marriage it symbolized, her life became a search for the one man who would make her dream come true. A trip west in a wagon caravan, and then strong but gentle Andrew came into her life.

The honeymoon was everything Rebecca had ever hoped for. And their first little log cabin was perfect for them. But when Andrew brought Becky to her new house at Fort Harmony, she was stunned by the jolting nightmare that awaited her. Would she ever be happy again?

The Wedding Dress will compel, stir and move you to tears and to joy before you turn its final page.

This book wil move you as a young girl is tring to find her place in thi world. As she ventures into a new religion shes not sure if its wright. As she lives with people who practice this religon she relizes that its not right. When it comes to saving the commnitties crops and innecent emmigrants going west she choices the emmigrants and risks being shunned. I fwant to know more you should read this book.

No woman should have to go through what Rebecca had to face. If you want to know more about the mormoms this is the book to read. It is so sad to realize how the mormom men treat their plural wives.

I thought that this book was absolutely wonderful, and it was one of those readings in which you get reality a 'slap' in the heart and mind. This book was an awesome example of how MANY people these days leave everything in their lives in their own hands, and don't let God be GOD. This is a major problem with several Christians, myself sometimes being one! HAHA...I loved this book, and would reccomend it any girl who THINKS that they know what their life is going to be like.
