If you are looking for a book of ideas for inspiration or to share with your florist, this one has great photographs. Additionally, each photo is accompanied by a brief listing (the author refers to them as a 'palette') of the types of flowers and foliage used. The author also provides some very general instructions for each design on the corresponding page. The author has included a section at the end of the book entitled "Practicalities", that includes information such as choosing flowers, suppliers, checklist, conditioning flowers, and wiring techniques. There are nineteen general instructions in this section as well. This section of the book is eleven pages. If you are looking for a book that provides detailed, step-by-step instruction, you will be disappointed. While there are instructions in the "Practicalities" section, a beginner might have some difficulty constructing the featured designs.
