Wedgwood Jasper Ware: A Shape Book and Collector's Guide

Finally, a GREAT Wedgwood shape book for dealers and collectors alike. This pleasing to the eye volume of gorgeous color pictures of dipped Wedgwood jasperware is arranged in an easy to follow method. The book is broken down alpabetically by type of piece, from ashtrays to vases, including boxes, cups and saucers, teasets, etc, as well as an incredible collection of antique Wedgwood jewelry. Consisting mainly of the author's collection with additions from several other private collections as well as a Museum collection, this book is bound to become the definitive authority for collectors, both new and advanced, as well as general line antique dealers who come across Wedgwood in their travels. How nice to finally be able to identify the relief on a vase or know what the name of the shape is! I can't wait for the next volume!!

Wedgwood Jasper Ware: A Shape Book and Collector's Guide

Michael Herman did what nobody before him has done. He did extensive research and took hundreds of great photos to produce a book for the beginner or the advanced collector, giving names and factory numbers to dipped Wedgwood jasperware shapes. Starting with the fabulous collection put together by Mike & his wife and expanding to include pieces from several private collections as well as a Museum collection, he grouped pieces by category, i.e. vases, boxes, trays, biscuit barrels, etc., making it very user friendly. This book is bound to become THE reference for all the Wedgwood jasperware collectors out there as well as anyone who is a general line antiques dealer, estate liquidator or auctioneer.
