About the Author

Julia and Brook West are a husband-and-wife team who write science fiction and fantasy, both in collaboration and individually. Julia spent her first three years in college studying botany (she later got a degree in anthropology to use as a background for writing science fiction), and Brook has a degree in physical geography and loves to build worlds. They live in West Jordan, Utah, with two daughters who also write, and an assortment of cats and rats who don't. (The cats try, but the humans keep erasing their efforts from the word processor programs.)
