    Weekend (Point) by Christopher Pike

This is a story I read as a teenager and just bought for my teenage son to read. I reread it along with my son. It is one of those stories that stands out for me from my teen reading which says alot because I read many books then and continue to read alot. Christopher Pike has a way of writing that truly makes you feel like you are there and a way of developing characters to make you feel like you really know the people. His stories are memorable and as relevant today as it was when I originally read it. Out of all the Christopher Pike books this one is my favorite. Bury me deep is my sons favorite and Weekend is his second favorite. Really great books to read along with your tween/teens as it opens up some really good discussions about behaviours that they may be seeing or thinking of doing soon and some great discussion on what might happen next. My son is big on thinking he knows how books will end now and the Christopher Pike books are some of the few that still suprise him with the twists in the plots so good to challenge him and make him think. Overall a great book to read or reread at any age, and Christopher Pike books all read pretty quickly because once you get into them you don't want to put them down until you know how they end. Keeps you hooked from the beginning to the end.

    A reviewer

After i had checked out Chain Letter 2 from my library, i decided i wanted to read Weekend. With my love for Chain Letter 2 i thought i would love this book too. What i remember was it being slow in the begining, and keeping a slow pace throughout the book. Though it was good, it was quite slow.

    Wicked awesome!!!

This book was the first Christopher Pike book I ever read. It's about a senior class taking a trip to someone's mansion. Except only a few show up. Where were the other classmates? The ones who are there are the same ones who were together a couple months before when a terrible thing happened. Now they are together again. Does someone want revenge or does someone want to finish what they started? Even after I read a lot of his other books this one was definately still one of my favorites! It's not one of his scary ones, it's more of a fun but mysterious read! I liked it because it kept yopu interested throughtout the book and it was unique.

    I still love this book

This is such a good book. I read it when I was in junior high, and recently bought it again (I'm in college now). It's even better than I remembered. It's rare that young adult books (in the horror genre) are written so well. It's not really scary, but it doesn't need to be.

    Loved It!

This book really changed my reading habits. After reading this book I started reading as many Christopher Pike books as possible. I know I read at least 10 Christopher Pike books and I don't plan on quitting either! I love his books, but this one turned me on to reading as many books of his as possible... This was the first Christopher Pike book I ever read and I loved it!

This is by far the BEST book I have EVER read!!!

This is the book that has made me an avid Christopher Pike fan. Words cannot even explain how wonderful this book is. Although it is not as scary as some of his other books, it is hands down his best book ever! Also, this book lacks the supernatural aspect which frequents many of his other books, which is kind of a refreshing change.

    Wow!

This is definetely one of Christopher Pike's greatest books. It really focuses in on the lives of the characters instead of the main plot. It's absolutely amazing the way you can't put this book down. I also like the fact that it doesn't have a tragic ending like some of his books. It's a great book for those who like suspense and all Christopher Pike fans

'I thought the book was awesome'

' I thought this was a really good book, a little of confusion but the soon i got into the book it made more sense, I thought that the story of the main part of the book was a simple confesion as the summer goes on they realize who are their true friends and i like the good ending nothing makes a good book if you dont have a good ending'

    Good

It was good. I rated it down 1 star because it was a little slow moving, not as scarey as expected, and a little dissapoinment in the ending. I mean I like happy endings in books sometimes but, this book was not that scarey. It was still good though.

    GREAT

This book is great. It's one of Christopher Pike's early books but very good. This book had something different from his other books. The ending is happy.
