Overview

Beyond 50 Shades … Way Beyond!

WEEKEND EXPERIENCE is an intimate exploration of kinks and fetishes by an unlikely couple, with thoughtful and philosophical discussion by the characters, and graphic descriptions of their erotic adventures.

Sam and Kelly have role-played some of their most intimate fantasies in an atmosphere of openness and trust. Now, Sam wants to share with Kelly new kinks, fetishes and sensual pleasures. Kelly is more than a willing participant: She is the mirror by which Sam sees that his openness and submission is as important as Kelly’s. A visit by her friends leads to new fantasies for both of them.

The Experiences series is an epic love story of erotic relationships and sexual desires. Written in a 'literary realism' style, the series introduces Sam in the prequel, and the blossoming of his intimate relationship with Kelly as the series progresses. Fantasies and real-world adventures coalesce to mold a unique bond between unlikely lovers. Where needs are mutually satisfied in an open, creative and trusting environment. Where physical and mental boundaries are pushed. Where the concepts of love and sex are never confused, but sometimes confusing. Where openness is required and intimacy is expected. And where fair-is-fair, regarding the punishment of transgressions.

Contemporary erotic romance: Suitable for mature readers, aged 18+ years.
Experiences: Book 3 is 101,000 words, 17 chapters, 333 print pages

Meet the Author

An adventuress and traveler, Simone is a sensual being who loves to read stories that excite her. She takes exception to authors who promote their works as ‘dirty’, ‘filthy’, or ‘smutty’: She believes that sex is wonderful in all of its incarnations, and doesn’t shy away from graphic descriptions of realistic sexual experiences, no matter how messy. Her writing is mainly in the ‘literary realism’ style – i.e., it is wild (even outrageous) … but could really happen to you! She values openness in relationships, and demonstrates this through her characters. Prior to becoming an author, Simone was a nurse. One of her pet peeves is reading erotica that gets simple anatomy wrong! She is continually bewildered by women who haven’t explored their own bodies. Another pet peeve is the mostly hung-up Victorian society prevalent in the U.S., and she tries her hardest to change that by introducing people to new sexual and sensual experiences through her erotic writing. The activities in Simone’s books are quite realistic, as she has participated in most of these in ‘real life’, as surreal as it may seem. Simone is currently completing the Experiences series, which will run an estimated 1,000,000 words! That is why she refers to it as an ‘epic’ romance, although each volume is intended to stand on its own, with a ‘happy for now’ ending. Experiences is an attempt to combine literary style and philosophical discussion by the characters with graphic portrayal of sex in all of its kinks and fetishes. You may not like all of the things Simone’s characters do … but neither do they. Their exploration of new experiences will hopefully motivate some readers to explore their own sexuality to a greater extent. Simone loves to hear from her readers, so feel free to contact her. In fact, she hopes you will feel ‘free’ sexually and spiritually, as well. Please follow her on social media and her blog. On her website, you may interact directly with the main characters in her books, including asking them questions in order to understand their perspectives in more depth.

Sexually erotica to a whole new level The continuing story of Sam and Kelly ... who openly and honestly (even with the great age difference) share their fantasies and deep fetishes. Enter the world of the fetish and pleasures of BDSM. The story is intensely written, and purely erotic. One of my favorite lines in this book is how Sam describes his concept of sex. "'My definition of sex is quite precise: body fluid contact. By my definition, even kissing would be considered sex.' In fact, by my definition, even eating or drinking after each other would be considered sex!" This is an extremely racy but intense and hot story of a couple who share their fetishes, and the connection becomes something more ... more than just sexual, mental and physical pleasures... maybe even love.

In Weekend Experience we meet with Sam and Kelly again. They’ve already role-played once, during First Experience, and now they’re back for more. Their relationship is still based on openness and honesty, and here they explore their fantasies even further. More than about the fetishes, the book also talks about the psychology behind the fetishes and why Sam is so focused on what happened during his childhood. I would definitely recommend reading First Experiences before diving into this one. Then the characters will make more sense, especially how they develop during the book. The writing is clear and to the point, and the author manages to clarify both characters’ intent and their ideas quite clearly. If you read the first book and enjoyed it, then you will love this own. It had me question a lot of things, and in a good way. I kept on turning the pages, and wanted to read to the end. The dialog is great, and the characters are amazing. A great read, and recommended to all fans of erotic romance. I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

The title offers up a pretty good summary and expectation of the novel--it centers around the “unlikely couple” of Sam and Kelly, who openly admit to how unconventional their relationship is. However, each is surprised by their own “blossoming of love” towards the other, and the complexities it brings to the foundations and rules they had clearly set in the previous book. This third (and possibly final? The ending made that up for discussion...) book in the trilogy really lets the idea of romance play a large part--it is not just about fetishism and the results of exploring fantasies, but it focuses on the emotional connection between Sam and Kelly. This is what makes this book stand out--the growing love and trust between the two characters seems so real. It definitely offers a mature viewpoint as it focuses more on inner reflection, doubt, emotion, and the balance between being psychologically aware while still giving into your fetishes. I really enjoyed the parts where Kelly was the narrator, since reading things from her perspective added a lot more volume to the situations in the book and gave a good, varied interpretation of evens. Very rarely does an author seamlessly provide the switch in viewpoints, and dedicating entire sections for Kelly to explain and reveal her thought process was a good quality in the book. However, reader beware, it is definitely one of those books where you really need to read the previous one to understand the trilogy. This book references a lot of what happened in the previous book, and I can imagine a reader could get very confused by some of these referrals to past situations. It is by no means repetitive, though, as the plot expands on the events of the previous book and adds a fresh perspective.

Exploration of fetishes by an unlikely couple and the flowering of love  Simone Freier offers no information about her background but reading her new works certainly adds respect for her talent as a writer of erotic literature. And just as foreplay is the key to satisfying sex, Freier starts this her third book in a series of books labeled EXPERIENCES with some well written suggestive but not pornographic storyline. Once the reader catches the drift of her intent the urge is to stay with the book to see how far she will escort us into the world of sexual fetishes. In Book 3 we continue the experiences of Sam but now we have Kelly, his punishment paramour, as narrator. This book starts in medias res with Kelly driving home from Sam's house after their `first experience encounter' and Kelly offers her viewpoint of this ongoing tale of BDSM punishment/medical fantasy: `In fact, it had started with more than I had expected: More seriousness, more discussion and intellectual interest, more kindness and compassion. And, yet, it also involved more pain - and not just the physical pain of being spanked (or paddled, strapped, or switched), but also the psychological aspects of Sam's fetishes. Perhaps Sam was correct, when he said that it takes a strong person to complete - let alone enjoy - this type of experience. And that brought another flood of thoughts into my head. Why did I enjoy being spanked by Sam? I really don't think it's my adoptive father's lack of caring or sole focus on his sons and sports. I also don't think it's just due to my bland male friends and their immature sexual approach. I realized that over the past 24 hours, this man had brought me to orgasm more times than I had experienced in the rest of my life combined. And, these orgasms were hot.' Apparently Sam's network of fetishes - spanking and discipline, medical exams, enemas, needles, and shots - have stirred Kelly's imagination and vulnerability to assuming the dominant role as opposed to the submissive role. And Freier, always one to deliver both sides of a situation shares Sam's concurrent reverie: `The scene with Kelly had included many of his fetish interests, such as spanking and `medical sex'. And Kelly had performed wonderfully, being extremely open with her body and her thoughts, taking her punishments well, and even getting turned-on in both `top' and `bottom' roles. While he had tried to surprise her with new experiences, she also had surprised him at every step along the way - with her directness, openness, enthusiasm, and raw sexuality. We had done a lot of things very intimately together without transferring body fluids ... until our water glasses from the sauna were mixed up. It was quite simple to `redefine' sex to not include eating or drinking after each other ... or kissing. But Kelly and I were developing real feelings for each other. Kelly had expected sex. And I realized that, being widowed, I had no responsibility to anyone else; it was solely up to me. And an opportunity like this may never come again (in a manner of speaking). Kelly had not informed me of any sexually transmitted diseases. And, I trusted her. On the other hand, this had become more than roleplay. I had deep feelings for Kelly - on many levels.' The age differences enter the picture and that complicates the vantage of both partners. Kelly decides to her invite her friends Julie and Linda (whom we had met briefly in Book 2) for a weekend to test the viability of her relationship to Sam (and Sam's to her). She informs them of Sam's turn-on in the idea of submission. And so Freier expands the ménage a quatre takes her story to a fascinating conclusion - or is there more to follow? Fine writing from an author who knows her genre.

It's unusual for me to read another book by the same author so quickly; there are so many talented authors that I've never experienced before that I almost feel guilty falling into a new interest so effortlessly, but Freier has an intoxicating way with words, and the subject matter is one that fascinates me. I have had my share of unique relationships, which have swung from innocent to extreme, and seeing someone so artfully put the mixed emotions of those experiences on paper was a real treat. People who generalize this genre and dismiss it as "smut" or any number of other unfair assertions should simply read this book (or better yet, the two preceding it) and try to make the same argument. This is truly an exploration of emotion and the complexities of love in the modern world. It is easy to fall into the belief that there is a right and wrong way to love, but this book shows just how fascinating alternative lifestyles and sexual interests can be, and how there is no shame in embracing and pursuing things that take us out of our comfort zone. I loved Freier's other books, and this one does not disappoint. The characters are rich and believable, while the eroticism is thick and lush. Perfect when you want some inspiration or to speed up your pulse a bit. What a Read!

Now that I have read two of her novels, I have to say that Simone Freier is a top-notch author. The clarity of her writing and her ability to set a believable scene filled with characters with whom you can empathize set her apart from other writers. Freier is arguably one of the best talents I have found in the recent past. Frier uses a unique hook to grab her readers and pull them into her work. That hook is an explicit exploration of the world of fetishism and fantasy. Freier writes some incredibly powerful scenes involving spanking and the use of sex toys that are not pornographic. Instead, she uses them like a canvas upon which she pens the basic love story that underpins “Weekend Experience: Exploration of Fetishes by an Unlikely Couple, and the Blossoming of Love (Experiences Book 3).” In the earlier volume of this series, you meet Kelly and Sam, a very unlikely couple. She is a beautiful twentysomething grad student and he is a fortysomething. Normally, they would never meet and become involved. However, Freier, brings them together in quite a plausible way – she wants career guidance so she can plan her future and he has it. Freier sets up the meeting and lets the action roll out from there. Sam wonders if Kelly would “play” with him in his special “fantasy suite” and he asks. A curious Kelly says yes. And, they are off on their exploration of fetishism and sexual play. It takes a talented author to set a scene like this. Freier's approach is light-handed as she lets the story tell itself. She guides it expertly along the route she wants it to travel, using the world of BDSM and fantasy as the backdrop. It would have been easy to let the world of sexual play become the centerpiece of both novels, but it is not. Instead, it is the canvas upon which she paints her word picture. Where the first volume explores Kelly's growth as a person, this volume explores Sam and Kelly's growth individually and as a couple. In writing about this growth, Freier is inviting us to become flies on the wall, watching Kelly and Sam play. As the volume progresses, Kelly becomes Sam's equal. She is his match and sexual mate, and may even be his superior. Sam is no longer the sole narrator of the story; Kelly becomes a co-narrator in a point-counterpoint narrative that enhances your understanding of the couple, their feelings and their world. You can easily empathize with them. Simone Freier's “Weekend Experience: Exploration of Fetishes by an Unlikely Couple, and the Blossoming of Love (Experiences Book 3)” is a memorable novel. In “Experiences: Weekend,” the couple push take their relationship to the next level, and, perhaps, to the level above that with the inclusion of Kelly's girlfriends, Linda, Julie and Kathy. That Kelly and Sam would include them in their world of eroticism and intimacy illustrates how far Kelly and Sam have come and how much they have changed. Now, Kelly and Sam would even consider playing with two women they had just bet during at the “skinnydipping” swimming hole.

Weekend Experience, the third installment in the Experiences books series, further explores the intimacy and eroticism of Sam and Kelly. As they push the limits even further, the adventures are ever more daring. As Kelly’s friends Julie and Linda pay a visit, the fantasies fulfilled are that much hotter. As was the case with the previous two books, this last book certainly doesn’t disappoint. It’s definitely a novel for mature audiences only and certainly contains racy content. Some of the material could make the sensitive reader uncomfortable. Very graphic in detail, but a great read nonetheless. Exciting read!

Pushing the card of fetishes and kinkiness, Sam and Kelly’s exploratory relationship is taken to the next level in the third Experiences book. Weekend Experiences: Exploration of Fetishes by an Unlikely Couple, and the Blossoming of Love brings back Julie and Linda, introduced in book two. As you can imagine, their weekend visit ups the erotic ante. I read the first two books and anxiously awaited this one. The subject matter isn’t for everyone, but it’s certainly an arousing read that tugs at your adventurous side! If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey, don’t miss out on this. 5 stars!

Weekend Experience: Exploration of Fetishes by an Unlikely Couple, and the Blossoming of Love is book 3 in the Experiences series, and it did not disappoint one bit. What is so unique about this trilogy is the fact that they are more than just your typical erotic novels. There is a substance to them, and lessons to be taught and learned. Sam and Kelly are so used to making their fantasies come alive. As people have come to realize, once you play out some fetishes/fantasies, there are always new ones lurking in the shadows waiting to pop up. In this book, Sam wants to introduce Kelly to some of his newest guilty pleasures. Kelly, as always, is opened to experience these new fantasies and takes part in some of them when her new friends arrive. Not only is this an erotic novel, but it is also a love story. Sam and Kelly have been through so much with one another in a sexual type of way, that an actual strong bond begins to form. Will their sexual fantasies bring them together in a way that neither one of them ever expected to happen? This is a fun read, that poses some serious questions. I think everyone can relate to having fantasies and fetishes of some kind, but this book puts those into perspective and truly gives you an insight on what really comes from them when you decide to act them out. I enjoyed this third book just as much as the other 2, and I can't wait to see what else Simone Freier has in store.

By the end of First Experience, the second book in the trilogy, Sam had come around to the idea that Kelly needed to be the dominant one in the relationship every once in a while if they were to truly share the type of connection for which he longed. The one regret he had was that her friends Julie and Linda had not come over as expected. Kelly’s one regret appeared to be the fact that they had not truly made love. These concerns are addressed in the trilogy’s conclusion. While they certainly explore the fetish world a bit more, Sam and Kelly also have sex for the first time. It is a staggeringly honest depiction. While it is highly romanticized, Kelly also takes a moment to note that rose petals on one’s bed are not really a practical addition to sex. It is not long after this experience that their relationship grows from fetishistic lust to what Sam and Kelly consider actual love. Once there is a true level of trust established between them, they each get to live out the versions of their fantasies that they had wanted. Kelly’s friends come over and allow Sam to experiment with them, and Sam allows Kelly to give him a medical exam. There are times at which Sam feels their trust may be in question, such as during an encounter with two women at the pond. But by the end, we see through Kelly’s eyes that their relationship has become open and trusting in new ways. There is still a hint of the future left in the end, leaving us to wonder if this series may end up being more than a trilogy, but there is certainly a happy ending for the time being.
