This was the first book I have read by this author, but it won't be the last. I fell in love with Claire and Jason and I can't wait to read Suzy's story. Such fun characters. I hope this series go on for a while. The Myrtle Beach setting was great.

Whoa! The critics are out in full force for this one! The reviews all make valid points... the storyline is sweet, but not believable (what romance novel is believable anyway? Like Fifty Shades was? Please!) And the writing is far from stellar, but if you want something intellectually stimulating, read Tolstoy and not a cheap romance novel. Weekends Only is a quick read with likeable characters and a fun plot. It's predictable, yes, but so what? Its a fun summer read that doesn't require alot of attention. Its sexy and sweet and tough to put down. I recommend it for an airline flight or for sitting by the pool; just dont make it your next Book Club headliner or you'll end up with little conversation at the next meeting!

Wow! A co-worker recommended this book to me and I just loved it. I found the writing to be fresh and new. Read it in Less than a day. I'm off to buy the second book in the series now.

I really enjoyed this book by Sudney Landon. It was well over 400 pages, but I finished it in a day. Really fast read. I came to love the characters - not just Claire + Jason - all of them, even her mother + Louise. I am excited for the other Danvers Novels to debut; the next being from Suzy's perspective which will be kind of fun. If you enjoyed other romance novels like 50 Shades + The Marriage Bargain, you'll love Weekends Required. It's sweet and sexy with a great little story. And so affordable. Come on!

Sydney Landon I love you and your books. Loved all the funny dialouge and the scenes with Claire's mom were so touching. Bravo, well done.

I forced myself to finish this for two reasons: I finish what I start, and I was waiting for it to get better. While the premise was promising... The actual writing was immature-ish. The characters were one-dimensional. It annoys me when writers use "piqued" interchangeably with "peaked." How is she this shy chick yet jumps out of cakes in lingerie? I think the author was going for the alpha-male complex with Jason, but instead he comes off as a weak jerk. The dialogue, what there was between h/h, was totally unrealistic. The author relied on sex instead of actual conversation. The book pretty much read like a walking cliche. Overall, I wasnt impressed with this offering. I feel there was tremendous possibility, but the suthor would have benefitted greatly from more than a friend's read-through. Im not sure what other people reviewing here generally read, but this is far from professional, and something my 14-year-old niece might write.

Liked the premise of the story....but the writing style was painful. I dislike being told. I want descriptions that engage the mind, not a step by step. Let me visualize how it is! I made it 120 pages before irritation got the best of me

I read this in one day because I couldn't put it down. Im reading the next in the series which is just as good. However, I always read reviews before purchasing and was extremely disapointed to see someone complaining about the book and told the whole plot. It is one thing to have an opinion but do not ruin it for others. They also must have liked it to a degree to go through the process of reading the whole book and going through the trouble of posting about it to ruin it for others.

Horrible waste of money and time. Reads like it was written by a 12 year old trying to use every phrase she read in adult romance novels and fails miserably. If your looking dor 480ish pages of skimable crap this is it.

I really enjoyed this book. First of hers that I have read and went right to the next book in the series. Many layers to these characters and plenty of heat. Funny situations.

I really loved this book. It has been one of my favorites! Im confused that some people have wrote poor reviews. I really have to have something to keep my attention to like the book in each chapter. This book went way passed the excitement in each chapter. I found myself not putting the book down, because I needed to know what was coming or what was going to happen. Why cant I find a JASON like this! This book had it all - it made me laugh, cry, in suspense, and in love. Youll love this book.

I will keep this short and to the point. I normally hate writing bad reviews, but this book was just simply terrible. It was boring and very poorly written. The reviews I read before purchasing the book gave me the idea that the book would be a nice, quick, and enjoyable read. It was anything but that. I advise you not to spend your money on this book.

Found myself skipping pages and i never do that. Conflict btwn the love interests were predictable, ridiculous, and eye roll worthy.

I bought this after reading a few reviews. A very quick read and engaging storyline with a good variety of characters. Suzy is a scream and I'm looking forward to reading more about her.

This book reminded me of why I read instead of write. It was a cute story, but was painful to read.

I thought it was okay. The story line was pretty good, but I just couldn't get past the author's writing style. It wasn't a terrible writing style, it just wasn't for me. The characters were fine, but the dialogue didn' t really flow well. It just didn't feel believable to me. No one talks so properly all of the time. Over all, it was okay. It was a cute story, regardless of the writing style. I'm reading the second book now, but I probably won't continue reading the series after that. If you're considering reading this book, I would suggest you read a sample of it first just to make sure it's what you're looking for.

An author I recently discovered and soooo happy I did. I polished off her books in a matter of hours. Currently I am eagerly awaiting her third book of this series. The story is fun and heartwarming, and the strength of her writing in regards to her plot and characters, you can't help but want more!!

This book was such a fun read! As a fan of the Crossfire and Fifty Shades series, it was nice to have a lighter reprieve that still had the emotional angst and steamy love scenes, causing you to pull for the couple to come together. It was also refreshing to have a heroine that didn't always give into seduction, and wasn't afraid to walk away if she thought she needed to. Claire is not a damsel in distress, and I loved her for it!

This book was an easy read. I enjoyed the light hearted humir and even found myself tearing up at some points. I am onlly givingnthis book four stars because it was too short in my opinion. I wanted more, oh well, onto the next book.in the series!

For fans looking for a Happily Ever After. This starts out as a fairly simple and straight forward love story. As the plot thickens it becomes quite apparent that Claire has some serious issues. She and her Mother have had horrible lives, and while she has made a pretty good life for herself. It becomes blatantly obvious that she days of sweeping it under the rug to move on are coming to an abrupt halt. When she finds herself in her boss arms she will be forced to process and understand her past, so that she may accept and incredible future. This was a very enjoyable story. I must admit that I rounded up on my rating, and I would have rated this more a 3.5. As I said it is enjoyable, but this is one a very slow moving story. That is saying a lot when it a very small story to begin with. It is a feel good read that will leave you bright and shiny, but I feel that it would also be one that would be easily forgotten. Nothing in it stood out and made me take notice. In my mind it holds a tremendous amount of potential, but I really think it could have been more. I am intrigued enough that I will definitely be following this up with Not Planning on You (Book 2 of the Danvers series) immediately.  ~BookWhisperer Reviewer JO~

This story is the typical prince riding in and saving the damsel in distress but in a creative and comical way, and theybwoman deserves to be rescued. Worth the money spent, highly recommended.
