"Weird Al" Yankovic

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Barry Weber
"Weird Al" Yankovic makes his debut with this self-titled album, which can best be described as a silly collection of mid-'80s parodies. While a few original songs such as "Gotta Boogie" may attain a few laughs, the album's strong points are spoofs like "Ricky" and "I Love Rocky Road." Although not nearly as entertaining as some of his later releases, this album is still pretty funny.

    Another one Rides the bus!

The album overall is a winner with a few songs maybe out of place in my opinion such as Buckingham Blues or Gotta Boogie, but nontheless a must have for a weird al fan wondering what Al's roots were. These were his opening kicks which would later put him on the map and on the road to comedian music stardom. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars bc it is a great album and shows off some of Al's experience with the accordian.

Al Yankovic with a great Debut CD

Al has found something he is very good at- music. This is one of his best cds ever and a great one to start off his career. The money is well worth spending for this CD. It is a must-buy
