She has written and provided illustrations for two nonfiction books —The Poison Widow: A True Story of Sin, Strychnine, and Murder and The Beast of Bray Road: Tailing Wisconsin's Werewolf, both published in 2003. Another book on American werewolves, Beyond the Beast of Bray Road, is forthcoming. In addition, she is the creator and editor of a Web site about the strange and quirky.

Richard D. Hendricks has been fomenting weirdology at his Weird Wisconsin site since 1998. He's also the news editor at The Anomalist, investigates ghosts with the Wisconsin Paranormal Research Center, and hangs with the Creatures of the Outer Edge, an esoteric collective that convenes at the notorious Headhunters Hideaway in Sun Prairie. A Madison resident, Hendricks pays the bills as a legal researcher.

    Highley recomended- You must check it out!

    I traveld a lot in Wesconsin in the 70's I never knew there was this musch strange stuff going on? Very interesting book. I am having my wife read it.

    Weird Wisconsin is Neat

    I have read this book and sought out and visited many of the places in the book. This year I intend to seek out more and visit, eventually to go through the whole book. However, as the disclaimer indicates, I have found that all are not as written in the book. I have talked to many people who have, and are now living at some on the places. Much of what is written is not what they tell me it is, it is still interesting though. The only one I really question is the alleged Dollhouse Grave where a little girl named Bertha who died in 1912 in Northern Wisconsin, page 146 0f Weird Wisconsin. The only Dollhouse Grave I have been able to find is in Tennessee. I have been to Summerswind, and yes, he is still there. Thank you

    Weird Wisconsin and Linda S. Godfrey

    Recently moving to the Palmyra, WI area, from Ontario, Canada, I have found this book most interesting. This is an incredibly weird area to be sure, let alone beautiful too. I have been trying to learn as much about this state as I possibly can, and have enjoyed Weird Wisconsin immensely! Any book by Linda S. Godfrey is a treat. Would like to read more of the 'MANBAT' also seen in this state.

    Weird Wisconsin~~~I LOVE IT

    This book took me back to my teen years when my friends and I would hop in the car and visit a place mentioned in the book. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for more Weirdness.

    I'm lovin' it!

    This book is proudly displayed on my coffee table where everyone takes a peek at it when they come over. So many of my friends have gone to B&N to purchase it once they've seen it at my place. I hope to keep spreading the good word! :-)

    Fabulous Wisconsin Weirdness

    Everyone - you gotta read this book! This amazing book is filled with wacky, super stories about our state. It's a riot, but also has real history in here that is fascinating. I keep reading and re-reading this. You will love it.

    Wierd Wisconsin ROCK!

    This book is a must have for every Wisconsinite. It's got everything: information, exotic exhibits, and just plain interesting stuff. From the Hayward Fish Museum to the Houdini in Appleton, to the Cement people along HWY 13 to sightings of the late great Vince Lambordi. Strange things like the squirrel museum and the UFO landing pad that is 5 miles away from my best friends house! Wisconsin has everything! Reading this book makes me feel like Wisconsin is really a great, interesting, wild place to live.
