Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Pädagogische Soziologie, einseitig bedruckt, Note: 2,0, Universität Potsdam (Erziehungswissenschaft ), Veranstaltung: Entwicklung im Spannungsfeld von instabilem Selbstwertgefühl und charakterfester Persönlichkeit in komplexen Gesellschaften, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Gegenstand dieser Arbeit soll die Bedeutung der Gesellschaft für das Wohlbefinden bzw. Selbstwertgefühl eines Individuums sein. Dabei soll im Rahmen unseres Seminars von komplexen Gesellschaften ausgegangen werden. Komplexe Gesellschaften, die oftmals durch hierarchische Strukturen geprägt sind, sind nämlich unter anderem ein Grund dafür, dass die meisten ihrer Mitglieder unter einem geringen Selbstwertgefühl leiden. Ein meist durch Konkurrenz ausgelöster zu hoher Druck führt die Menschen in das Bestreben, den sich ständig ändernden und steigenden Anforderungen gerecht werden zu müssen. Für diesen Zusammenhang wichtige Begriffe sollen im Folgenden näher erläutert und operationalisiert werden. Vor allem der Begriff des Selbstwertgefühls und der des symbolischen Interaktionismus sollen im Mittelpunkt unserer Betrachtungen liegen. Dabei sollen auf mögliche Ursachen für ein mangelndes Selbstbewusstsein eingegangen werden und versucht werden Antworten auf Fragen zum Entstehungsprozess des Selbstwertgefühls zu finden.
