Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Veteran pop-up artist Carter varies his formula a bit with this accordion-style book featuring the bugs of his many previous outings. When Bitsy Bee goes missing, Busy Bug goes on the hunt. By turning the pages left to right, readers can find bugs hiding (sometimes behind flaps) in locations like a fire station, the Corgiville Pet Shop, a magic shop, and the circus. Unfolding the entire book, other locations are revealed, giving readers the full effect of a town on the move. It’s easy to imagine kids setting up the sprawling panorama on the floor to take in the sights and join in the search (which ends happily). Ages 3–up. (Aug.)
