My second grade students loved this book. They were absorbed with the history of China and fascinated by the Chinese culture. The photos were excellent and engaged my students in exciting conversation and they compared American culture and traditions to those of China. They were excited to draw pictures of the Chinese flag, the Great Wall of China and some of the festival activities. They couldn't wait to share what they learned with their group. They were actually excited to do their book report! We enjoyed moon cookies and learned a few words in Mandarin. This was a great book & I will use it each year.
