Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Phyllis Kennemer
Fans of Nickelodeon’s “Mike the Knight” television series will enjoy participating in the learning activities and coloring the pictures in this consumable book. The activities include connecting the dots, negotiating a maze, locating specific items in pictures, and finding the differences between two scenes. The first coloring page features a large drawing of Mike the Knight. Other characters from the series included are Galahad, his horse; Evie, his sister; Mr. Cuddles, Evie’s frog; Queen Martha, his mom; Yip and Yap, Martha’s dogs; Squirt and Sparkle, Mike’s dragon friends; Trollee, his best friend; Ma and Pa Troll; Fernando, the lute player; and Broken Horn, the Viking. A large, full-color foldout poster of Mike the Knight is stapled in the middle of the book for the reader to take out and hang somewhere. A note informs readers that more games and activities can be found as part of the Nickelodeon website. Part of the “Mike the Knight” series. Reviewer: Phyllis Kennemer, Ph.D.; Ages 3 to 6.
