Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Readers can take two very different trips with a pair of titles by Steve Augarde, both with plenty of flaps, tabs and so forth. We're Going on an Airplane! takes readers through the airport and onto a jet; they can rotate the luggage carrousel, recline a seatback, turn the pilot's wheel, etc. The New Yellow Bulldozer lets readers lift the backhoe and the front bucket, check the fluid levels under the hood and more. Soft-edged illustrations feature plenty of details for the mechanically minded. Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information.

    Excellent book

My 3 year old was very frightened of going on an airplane but having read this book and taking it with him on the trip he was just fine. Having bought several books related to airplane trips, this is by far the best. The illustrations are excellent.

    great idea, bad execution

I bought this book for my 17mo old twins before their 1st flight. They loved the book, but it was far too flimsy for kids their age and they pulled 2 peices off the 1st night and the book was destroyed within a month. I've bought other lift-the-flap books that have held up, so I don't think my kids are especially violent towards books, this one is just too flimsy.
