Overview

In Polecat, Alaska, Rachel Miller and Jake Hunter have a mutual admiration for each other-from across a lake. There's nothing Rachel likes more than spying on the very fit wilderness guide when he skinny-dips each night. And Jake has always been curious about his reclusive artist neighbor. He even bought Rachel's first wood carving: a wolf who looks suspiciously like him. Jake is a werewolf, but not just any werewolf. He's the founder of WARM (Werewolves Against Random Mating). And that means a human like Rachel is off-limits, no matter how attractive he finds her. But when Rachel is threatened by a bear, and Jake shifts to save her, their lives collide with an intense passion, one that could change everything they've ever felt about themselves-and each other.

Chapter One-
I wake up, yawning as my alarm goes off, the annoying beeping cutting through the silence. Slamming my hand down on the snooze button, I roll out of bed cheerfully, smiling dispite being up so early (6:30 am). I stumble over to my dresser, quickly getting dressed into a pale blue tank top and a pair of black cargo capris. I slip on a pair of flat soled shoes and walk out of my bedroom, tromping down the stairs. I head into the kitchen to get some breakfast when i see a note taped to the door.
It read:
Hey, Honey! We're so sorry but we won't be able to see you off to the Ryder Academy. We know you'll love it there and we would be there with you at the airport but we had urgent business with the Werewolf Council! We miss and love you and hope you have a great first year! Love you, Mom and Dad.
I sigh and head back up the stairs into my bedroom, getting ready to pack up my things. Grabbing my suitcase from the top of my dresser I toss it onto my bed, unzipping it and opening my drawers. I grab about tweleve shirts, ten jeans and three pairs of shorts. Then I snatch up some undergarments and throw them in, along with tolietries. Finally I finish and search for my plane ticket to Havenbrook, North Carolina. I find it and slip in safely into my pocket, taking a deep breath. I'm ready to go. *Its really happening* I think *Im really going to the Ryder Acacdemy. An academy for werewolves.* I take another deep breath and head for the door, grabbing my car keys and my suit case. *Well lets go*

What happens when lone wolf Jake Hunter founder of WARM (Werewolves Against Random Mating) finds himself attracted to a human? He resists and avoids her – mostly – until she is threatened by a mama bear who thinks she is threatening her cub. Jake leaps in and saves her but is hurt in the process. Thus starting a train of events that lead to them getting much closer. But she can’t be his mate. Can she? On the surface these books are fun paranormal romances but underneath they deal with some very heavy issues of bigotry and intolerance. This one brings it a little closer to the surface. This is an incredible read and I recommend it for everybody.

I loved this book. I always love the ierny of each wolfs opinyon untul thay expereance the love themselves that thay thought folish of there felow wolfs. It always makes me lauph. All the wolfs have it coming to them. I can't whate for A Werewolf in Las Vages to come out. Espesholy sinse the guy is humen for once. Nice twist in the series, like in the first two books the girls being humen then the next two books being wolf only to have a humen again in this story. Keep up the good work Vikie !
