Werewolves Be Damned by Stacey Kennedy

Nexi Jones—part witch, part guardian, and wannabe kick-ass warrior—can't throw a punch or conjure the simplest magic. But that doesn't stop her from hunting the werewolves who slaughtered her human family. She'll have her revenge, but only if Kyden, the elite guardian, would get the hell out of her way.

Kyden can't decide if Nexi wants to get herself killed or if she just has no clue what she's doing. But her father made it clear: keep Nexi safe…or else. Of course, the more Nexi runs toward revenge, the more she needs Kyden's aid, and as she grows into her power and confidence, so does his desire to protect her. The only problem? She'd rather he dropped dead.

But when a vampire paints a bull's-eye on Nexi's back, she's hard-pressed to deny Kyden and the help he's offering. Even if it means getting her revenge will be a little bit harder. At least it will still be as sweet.

Nexi is thrown into a world she has no clue about and never even knew existed. While grieving the loss of her adoptive human parents, she tries to find a way to avenge them, but Kyden is a big thorn in her side.  Kyden is trying to stay calm, while constantly having to go after Nexi and her unprepared attempts to get revenge. Nexi and Kyden are a great team, working together to figure out what's going on with all of the supernatural caos happening and finding the ones responsible for her parents death.  I really enjoyed Werewolves be Damned! It was a page turner. I love stories full of action, and i finished this in not time! I highly recommend it.

Stacey Kennedy has done it again! Nexi and Kyden are perfect together. Nexi thought she was just a regular human girl. Until  tragedy strikes and she looses her family to werewolves, of all things. Then she finds out she is half guardian and half witch, and starts training, while she plans to find out who killed her step-parents. She then finds herself falling for Kyden and his caveman ways. and finds a family that has  Her back. This is another amazing story that makes you wonder, is there an Otherworld, protecting us from things that go bump in the night? I can't wait for the continuation of the Magic & Mayhem series. And more from the talented Stacey Kennedy.  This was reviewed from a ARC copy that I received and was privileged to read and review.

Werewolves Be Damned is the first in the Magic & Mayhem series and it's definitely one of the best new series I have read in ages! Nexi is a half-guardian/half witch hybrid anomaly who is thrust into the supernatural after the brutal murder of her parents. Kyden has been charged with keeping Nexi safe as she tries to find her way in this new world, she's hellbent on avenging her parents deaths so he not only has to keep her safe from those who want to do her harm but from her own actions resulting from her inexperience and lack of knowledge. Kyden is a hunk of a male, snarky, protective and mischievous. Pretty swoon worthy! Nexi was fun, strong willed and hotheaded - which can be a recipe for disaster but it worked well, putting the tw together gave the best kind of explosions. The world building was a little heavy early on but at no point did I drown in the info or get confused. I love the mythology and can't wait for the next instalment! Bravo Stacey, it's another good one :)

Stacey surprises more and more every time I read another one of her books. Fantastic! Amazing! Alluring! Our girl Nexi is pushed to the limits. Her hero Kyden is pushing his limits holding it all together. I couldn't have been happier the way the story progressed, and kept me intrigued! I am already looking forward to what Stacey has next for Nexi and Kyden! Wonderful read! Great Author! Exciting subject! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review :)

Werewolves Be Damned draws you in from the opening sentence and doesn’t let you go. With her powerful storytelling voice, Stacy Kennedy cleverly builds her own unique alternate world where guardians, witches, werewolves, and vampires are the norm. While witnessing werewolves murdering her parents, Nexi is rescued by supernatural guardians and brought to the Otherworld for her own protection. Nexi learns that she is a part guardian–part witch supernatural being—one of a kind in the Otherworld. Fueled by anger and grief, Nexi harnesses these emotions as she learns about her new guardian abilities, all the while planning revenge on the werewolves who killed her parents. Nexi’s fiery personality, knack for stating the obvious, and singular focus on revenge make her a charismatic character. Kyden, a guardian, teaches Nexi how to fight. Kyden’s strong feelings for Nexi complicate the training process. Kyden finds Nexi appealing because she is strong, independent, and a bit standoffish, nothing like the women he is usually attracted to. Kyden is a deliciously sexy alpha male with a strong need to protect his girl, even if she can take care of herself. But, Kyden tones down his inner caveman instincts to claim her and instead chooses to go slowly with her because that’s what she needs. Kyden’s actions make him a worthy leading man in my book. Along with the development of Kyden and Nexi’s romantic relationship, Kennedy crafts memorable secondary characters while proficiently building an intricate plot around why Nexi’s parents were targeted in the first place. Perfectly blending romance, suspense, and non-stop action, Werewolves Be Damned is a riveting story that you won’t want to end. Kennedy delivers everything you would want in a first book of a new series. Hopefully, the wait for next adventure in the Magic and Mayhem series will be a short one. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for purpose of an honest review for The Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

A GraveTells Review: Gritty action, steamy romance, and an addicting new paranormal world! Werewolves Be Damned starts off strong and keeps up that heady momentum until the bittersweet close.  This is a great new series starter from Stacey Kennedy, a paranormal romance with heavy undertones of urban fantasy. The world building is snappy and vivid and Ms. Kennedy doesn't pull any punches when it comes to putting her characters in rough (and often painful) spots. I loved the chemistry between Nexi and Kyden and their personalities are unique and compelling. Nexi is a strong, kick-butt heroine with an edge of brash impatience, and Kyden is her caveman protector with a sensitive, respectful core. The supporting characters in the series are likable and memorable too. Magic & Mayhem promises to be addicting and fast-paced, a new paranormal romance series to keep your eye on!

Werewolves Be Damned is an action packed, sarcasm throwing, steamy adventure. Nexi and Kyden have a love/hate relationship. She would love to knock him flat, but she hates that her body reacts to him. Nexi wants revenge on the werewolves that murdered her human family, and the only way she is going to get it is if Kyden gets out of her way. Kyden promised Nexi's father that he would watch out for her no matter what. Nexi is making that hard on him since she apparently has a death wish. Nexi is part witch, part guardian and can hardly cast a spell her magic is so weak. Kyden keeps interceding when she is in trouble and it is really starting to piss her off. When Nexi crosses a Vampire and he is out for blood, Nexi has to agree that she needs Kyden's help. The more she practices, the more her powers grow. The more time she spends with Kyden the more her heart and body betray her. Will Nexi get the revenge she seeks? Can Nexi and Kyden both survive a relationship with each other? Stacey Kennedy shows off her writing prowess with her complex characters, her detailed world building, and her kick butt action scenes. Nexi has something to prove. She is a dangerous mix of inexperienced and overconfidence. Kyden wants to help her, but he also wants to claim her. The chemistry between the two is volcanic. Can they take the heat? Werewolves Be Damned is a fast paced adventure that mixes romance, life threatening circumstances, and magic. If you like strong women, even stronger men, and action packed drama, then hold on to your seats because this ride might get a little bumpy!

Even if it means getting her revenge will be a little bit harder. At least it will still be as sweet. This story was previously published elsewhere under the title The Willow in 2010, and has been revised and expanded for Entangled Publishing. My Thoughts Billed as Magic and Mayhem series #1 this book lives up to it's name as there is indeed abundant use of magic along with enough mayhem to delight the most discerning reader who loves non-stop action along with a well paced and easy to follow storyline. There is a bit of crossing genres with this read, it fits into urban fantasy as well as paranormal romance and even a bit of sci-fi fantasy as well. The fact that it also delivers a good mixture of supernatural beings that cavort across the pages of the book is also a point in the story's favor as well, especially uber-alpha male Kyden who ends up as a central character both to the story and to Nexi. Nexi Jones is a truly enjoyable character, she is thrust into a world and into a life that is totally confusing but rather than sitting down and giving up she digs in her heels to make the best of things and in the process finds out that what she is capable of is surprising even to herself. Kyden has to be the most patient male character that we have met in a long while, the mental as well as physical suffering that he is put through while trying to do his duty by Nexi would be enough to make any other man simply toss her out the window.  Seeing how Nexi changes over the course of the story, as her relationships develop as her trust grows with those around her, watching her grow more confident in herself once she makes up her mind that she can learn how to fulfill her duties and that she can learn how to fight to achieve her goal of finding her families killers is at times amusing as well as full of revelations about the kind of person Nexi really is. The main change in her though is her attitude and relationship with Kyden, at the beginning she was very atagonistic as well as fighting the flare of attraction that he aroused within her, by the end of the story not only are the two a team but they are also a bonded couple whose mutual desire to keep the other from harm is beautifully illustrated when their lives hang in the balance when the final battle is fought against the vampire whose only thought is to steal the power in Nexi's blood to enhance his own. There is a lot going on in under 300 pages, the revelations that take place as to the how and why Nexi's human family is slaughtered as well as her own importance to the vampire who orchestrated the entire plan is revealed slowly culminating in some fast paced action that will leave you breathless and waiting anxiously to see how things turn out for Nexi and Kyden both.  The fantasy elements of Otherworld as well as the familiar elements of Earth allow us to give our imaginations a good workout and all the other twists and turns this story takes will keep you on your toes as you never quite know what comes next. Whether this revised and expanded story holds true to the original I have no way of knowing, however for my taste this edition was a great find and one that fully engaged my interest from the first page until the last was turned at the end. Smooth, fast and easy read. [EArc from Netgalley in exchange for honest review]

Werewolves by Damned is a perfect example of the kind of book that I usually fall in love with. It has everything: witches, werewolves, vampires, guardians, strong heroine, and a sexy alpha male character. However, as much as I really wanted to just love, love, love it - I didn't. It was okay. I liked it. But it didn't blow me away. Let's start with what I did like. I loved Nexi as the female lead in this story. She has an interesting and heartwrenching back story, plus a long, hard road ahead of her. She has been raised as a mortal on Earth, never suspecting that she is actually an Otherworldly mixture of Guardian and Witch. Her real father hid her away with adoptive parents and blocked her supernatural powers from developing after her real mother was murdered. Nexi is oblivious to all of this until the night that werewolves show up at her house and brutally murder her adoptive parents right in front of her. This is where Kyden comes in. *Sigh.* All 6 foot something of him - wearing nothing but a kilt and a six pack. He is assigned to protect Nexi and train her in self defense and how to use her new found Guardian powers. Right off the bat he strikes the perfect balance between overbearing, overprotective jerk, and sensual, sexy, male. "Now we're doing this my way. You are mine, Nexi Jones. Get used to the idea. We're together now, and yes, that means your safety is of the utmost importance to me...I would give all that I am to protect you. Love cannot possibly describe what this is between us...it's more" Nexi quickly realizes that she has fallen in love with him, and he with her. When Kyden is put in jeopardy trying to protect her, she realizes that she would do anything for him - including risk her own life. This proves to be the catalyst that allows Nexi to fully discover what power she is really capable of...and to what extent she would go to save Kyden's life. "I'm so glad I met you. No matter how short our time together was, I don't regret a moment of my life. Not then. Not now. Not ever." Besides Nexi and Kyden there is also a whole other cast of secondary characters that really enhanced the story. Nexi gets a chance to know her real father, Drake, plus finds a friend and mentor in the witch Zia, who was her real mother's soul sister. Nexi also finds her own soul sister, Haven, who helps her transition into her new world. Now for what didn't work for me. I don't doubt that Stacey Kennedy is a good writer - in fact I really liked the overall "story" in the book, but her word choices and descriptions were so repetitious that it kept pushing me out of the story. The number one example was how many times it was reiterated that Nexi was new to the Otherworld and didn't understand what was going on. She was constantly confused, or lost, or wishing they would explain in normal person talk. I think this was probably just a way for Kennedy to explain the Otherworld in depth instead of just having paragraphs of exposition - but believe me, it got old really quickly after the tenth time someone said "I keep forgetting you don't know any of this ... blah, blah, blah." It's not that it was badly written, because it wasn't. However, these constant shifts in dialogue kept forcing us away from what was going on in the real story, and it irritated me. The second instance of repetition, though, nearly made me put down the book and walk away. Within a twelve page span there were NINE instances of Nexi hugging someone or being jerked or led around by her arm. That was all fine and good, but the awkward way in which each encounter was described just hit me the wrong way. Here are some quotes: "Releasing Finn, she collided with Talon, and threw her arms around him" "Finn gathered her in his arms. She sank into his embrace and wanted him to tell her that this was another terrible nightmare." "Without thought, acting on pure instinct, she threw herself into his arms and he caught her, holding her close." "She approached Calder, and once in front of him, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders." "Another hand tightened around her arm, and Talon pulled her away from Calder." "Nexi yanked herself out of Talon's grip, then collided with Haven and hugged her." "Talon broke the silence as he snatched up her hand and led her away." "A pull from behind her had her glancing over her shoulder." "He gathered her in his arms. She rested her head against his chest, accepting the warmth of the embrace." Keep in mind these were all different people she was colliding with and throwing herself into. The picture that this painted in my head was of a deranged woman walking around a room full of people and just randomly flinging herself into their arms and then being yanked away by someone else. Very distracting in the middle of a story, lol. Anyway, if you can look past the habitually confused and overenthusiastic hugger that is Nexi Jones, you will probably enjoy this book. The plot is good, and I will most likely read the sequel when it comes out.

Werewolves Be Damned I love this title. Stacy Kennedy is a multifaceted author who never fails to delight. She hasn't failed this time either.  In this paranormal universe Earth and the Otherworld coexist and Supernatural Guardians protect humans from bad supernaturals and clean up any messes they leave behind. We meet our very special heroine part witch, part guardian Nexi Jones as her adoptive parents are killed by werewolves. This is when she finds out that her heritage is not what she was lead to believe. She has mad skills but needs to be trained. Enter sexy Guardian Elite Kyden who volunteers to train Nexis Guardian side so she can avenge he adoptive parents. He has moves any action hero would sell their first born for and Nexi is not unaffected. But there is someone stirring up the rogue wolves and they want Nexi bad. Can Nexi stay alive long enough to get her revenge and explore her feelings toward Kyden? This is a fast paced, sexy action-adventure. I have high hopes for the future of this series.

As posted on The Smutty Kitty 3.5 out of 5 Licks Overall I really enjoyed this book. I like the premise and the world that Ms. Kennedy built but I felt like it dragged at times. I think it was mostly because there are so many characters and building the world and introducing the characters took a bit of time. Closer to the end of the book it really picked up steam and was the action was in full swing. Nexi is quite stubborn (which I really enjoy in my heroines) and Kyden is just as stubborn so the build of the relationship between them is enjoyable. This one is on the lighter side as far as the naughty level but there is a little bit of action in the bedroom. I grew very attached to the characters by the end of the story and was having a hard time putting it down. I definitely want to see where the rest of this series goes. There are some characters I am dying to know more about.

Werewolves Be Damned is the first book in the Magic & Mayhem series by Stacey Kennedy. If you've been a follower of Stacey Kennedy, you might remember that this story was published previously as The Willow. It seems odd to me that the publisher is advertising this like it's a brand new book. There are some changes, but a lot of it is the same. I'm just afraid that a lot of readers will be upset if they aren't aware of this. I read The Willow probably 2 ½ years ago, and I have an awful memory, so I can't remember exactly what all is different. This story revolves around Nexi, a 20-something year old who finds out that she is part witch and part Guardian. It starts off with werewolves killing her adoptive family. She is rescued by 2 warriors who are from the Underworld – one of which is her biological father. She is taken to her new home in the Underworld, and her whole life changes. She trains to be a Guardian – which is perfect since she is out for revenge. Nexi's trainer is Kyden – a half-naked, sexy, kilt-wearing guy. Kyden is my favorite character. He is the strong, alpha-male type that will make you drool. He is very protective of Nexi and is a gentleman...well, except when he and Nexi are fighting each other. Nexi is a strong willed, brave character who is determined to avenge the death of her adoptive parents. The downside to Nexi is that she often doesn't think before she acts. I didn't connect with Nexi and Kyden as much as I remember connecting with them in The Willow. The book skipped a big chunk of time from the prologue where she is rescued from the werewolves, to the first chapter when she is in the Underworld. We miss out on her meeting many of the characters, and it lacks character development. We miss her finding out that she's supernatural, and dealing with that fact. What I did like were the steamy scenes between Nexi and Kyden. There was a lot of sexual tension between these two before they became a couple. I also like the secondary characters, even though we don't come to know them very well. There is a lot of potential there. The different supernatural characters blend well together in the Underworld. This is a fast paced, action packed book. If you are a fan of Urban Fantasy or Paranormal Romance, then I recommend this book to you.

If you're a fan of Stacey Kennedy you might recognise this story as being the novel version of (THE WILLOW - THE MAGICAL SWORD BOOK ONE ) BY Kennedy, Stacey (Author) Paperback Published on (07 , 2010). The author must have decided to turn the novella into a full length story. Give it a sexy cover and an enticing title and hey presto. The main character is a hybrid witch/guardian hidden in the world of humans. The beginning shoots out of the gate like a hare on a mission and then bam, the reader is thrown from the violent prologue into the subdued world of the guardians. I found that a bit bizarre to be honest. I am all for a pre-story but going from prologue to first chapter needs to be a little more subtle. In general I felt if the author had slowed the pace down and spent some time creating characters with depth that this would have been a stronger story. As it was I didn't connect with any of the characters. Nexi was very 'let's go all Lara Croft' without any semblance of actual experience or skill. Who goes hunting werewolves without any training? The vibe of the book was very YA, as opposed to the New Adult it is supposed to be. The only obvious difference being the extracurricular spicy scenes. I recieved a copy of this book via NetGalley.

Stacey Kennedy has created an intriguing world of supernaturals and magic that keeps you guessing and leaves you craving more! 3.5 stars Nexi Jones' normal life comes to a screeching halt the night her adopted family is slaughtered by werewolves. She is reunited with her birth father and learns that she's no ordinary human that same night. Born of two supernaturals, Nexi is half-witch and half-guardian, the only one in existence. For this very reason she's been hidden from the supernatural Otherworld all of her life. Kyden, the revered guardian has been trusted to keep Nexi safe, which proves to be harder than any enemy he's faced during battle. Her stubbornness and inexperience should be enough to keep him away, but Kyden finds himself attracted to Nexi as much as he tries to deny it. Nexi longs to avenge her family's death, but in order to exact her revenge, she must set her pride aside and rely on Kyden's fighting skills and training. She'll need all the help she can get when an impending supernatural battle between good and evil reunites her with the man who stole her life long ago and now threatens to tear her apart from the ones she loves. I love a fierce, snarky and imperfect heroine in my books and while Nexi didn't fail to meet these requirements, I have to be honest and say that I didn't connect with her the way I thought I would. She handles learning she's part of a supernatural world with more grace than I would and adapts pretty well to her new situation, but something was missing for me. I respect her determination and bravery but her passion for vengeance (which is justified) overshadows her character, I feel I didn't really get to know the real Nexi. That being said, she did step up her game towards the end of the book, in my opinion, you have to admire a heroine that takes charge and ends up saving the hero! I hope to see her grow into the heroine I know she can be in future installments. When it comes to swoon-worthy men, I have no complaints when I read a Stacey Kennedy book and Kyden met all my expectations. He's part badass, part gentleman and every bit of sexy! He's a warrior with a romantic side that just melts your heart. I really enjoyed the sexy banter between Kyden and Nexi while training, their chemistry was off the charts but I was expecting a little more interaction between them before things got all hot and heavy, especially with Nexi being a virgin and all. I would have loved to have a little more time getting to know Kyden and his backstory, but understand that wasn't possible because the story's stars are Nexi and the world building. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll get more of Kyden as the series progresses (don't let me down Stacey!). The supporting characters in Werewolves Be Damned are just as captivating and each leave their mark. Nexi's friend Haven is a character I definitely want to see more of, she's fun and sarcastic and brings an innocent quality that's refreshing. We're also introduced to the sexy and flirty werewolf, Briggs who I instantly became smitten with! Valor, the werewolf Alpha is another character I want to get to know more of. These two werewolves can interrupt any time as far as I'm concerned. There are a few scenes I feel were a bit rushed in the story that I wished could have been fleshed out a little more, but overall the story flowed. Werewolves Be Damned is the perfect balance of romance and fantasy. I enjoyed Nexi's journey of self-discovery in the midst of the loss and heartbreak and how she's not tainted when it comes to love. The story's filled with non-stop action, a steamy romance, heroes, villains...oh, and if you're not already on board, there's werewolves, witches and vampires too! If you're new to Ms. Kennedy's work you're sure to become a fan after this book, if you're already a fan, you'll fall in love all with some charming new characters! {I received a complimentary copy of this book courtesy of Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.}

I loved this book!!! It captured my attention from page one and did not release me until the end, and even then I was begging for more!!! The characters are so easy to like, including the secondary ones, and even though he didn't have a huge part in this one, I am hoping to get to see more of Briggs in future books!!! This is the second book I have read by Stacey, and I will definitely be getting more by her. I absolutely LOVE her writing style and like my title states, she is quickly becoming one of my favorites!! She is a must read author and this is a must read book!!!

Nexi and Kyden hold a special place in my heart. They where my first ever actual review book that an author had requested I read. It was the perfect start to my blogging experience. I loved them so much the first time around. I made all my friends go out and buy the books and even still 2 years later I can remember a lot from those books. So when I found out they where getting a makeover I was really excited, I love these characters so much that even if Stacey changed it up I knew it would still be awesome. And it was! It was better then I could have ever expected!! Werewolves be Damned is Stacey's masterpiece. Its by far my favorite book she has ever written to date. This book was hard to put down, my kindle actually forced me to when it had to go and die. I even brought it to work to read during my lunch break. Nexi is kick ass. She has lost so much and her troubles are just beginning. She is determined to take revenge on the one who killed her parents. She is sometimes wreckless but she proves herself to be one of the best strong willed women characters out there. I just love her. Kyden, well he deserves a million awesome words to be said about him. He is that beat your chest alpha male type but with a heart of gold. He is sexy as hell and has a sword. Oh and he wears a kilt (is it getting hot in here or what?)! Totally drool worthy! Just read this book and you will see what I am talking about. Werewolves be Damned has the perfect amount of awesomeness. Its action packed, sexy to the max and the story will have you totally entranced. If you have never read a book by Stacey then this will a perfect book to start with and if you are already a fan then I suggest you get to reading this. Its amazing! I want more from The Otherworld and I want it now. All Urban Fantasy lovers are going to love this book. Its Amber guaranteed!!

This book starts out with a prologue. We see Nexi, completely confused because some wolves are killing her adoptive family and she just saw them turn into men. And then these two people dressed in full-out medieval wear are telling her that they’re here to protect her and one of them just so happens to be her biological father. And then we skip three months, where Nexi is now in the Otherworld, where her father is from. Naturally, Nexi is confused, and she’s also very stubborn. While everyone was introducing this new world to her, she was sometimes a little bit too confused. Maybe I’ve read too many werewolf novels, but I would think everyone knows what a “mate” is. In is world, “mate” applies to everyone, not only werewolves. But when they mentioned that, Nexi remained really confused and had to ask what a mate was. But then again, her family was just killed and she’s now in this new world, so all this is to be expected. At first I really didn’t like Nexi because she had the I-will-do-everything-and-screw-your-rules attitude. There are rules in the Otherworld, and they’re there for a reason. The rules made sense to me, but Nexi sometimes disagreed with them (especially when it came to getting revenge for her family) and I didn’t like that. But later on she redeemed herself and I really liked her and was able to understand and support her actions. And then there’s Kyden. This hot hunk of a man is Nexi’s teacher in guardian duties and fighting techniques. Originally he was pretty arrogant and Nexi didn’t want to be with him because of that (though I found his arrogance a little hot!). Later on though, he proved he had a soft side when he showed caring and compassion to Nexi. Though guardians and other beings (i.e. witches, werewolves) are immortal, Kyden is only in his late twenties, so we don’t have a Edward-Bella debacle. I really liked the fact that it wasn’t like Kyden was super old and yet looks young. It doesn’t make it creepy. Kyden is also one of those protective males who try to take care of their females, but it’s not overboard. He lets Nexi make her own choices (not that she gives him a choice ;D) I really liked the secondary characters and they really brought this book together nicely. They filled this book with humor as well as clarified things when they were confusing. I really liked Kia as well as Haven (though the latter is a bit naïve, it makes her sweet). Drake made a pretty good father, though he wasn’t very present through much of the beginning. In all, this book is full of action, grief, love, magic, and romance. The secondary characters were awesome, and I can’t wait to see all of them in another book.

Oh, where to start. I mean, Cam, if I had your number, I would have called you with death threats I think. You tore apart my heart just a few times. You made me laugh. You made me cry. You also made me completely shocked… I NEVER would have thought that for Riley, but I think I underestimated him. I have become so utterly proud of Heven, she found herself. I am so happy for Sam, that when he let go, Heven could float by herself. I will start by saying I am really happy most got their happy endings. I’m impressed. You worked everything out in a way I never would have guessed. May you be as happy as me with your ending    Heven is the best of herself. She has finally found what she is meant to do, and now she will stop at nothing to do just that. I actually felt really bad for her here. Just when you think things are going ok, BOOM, something ridiculous happens. She has grown into someone so lovely, both inside and out. Dude, she went up against the strong big guys in Hell. She’s straight up bad ass! I can’t believe she’s less damaged  I am so proud of her.  Sam is unbelievable. I have always Sam is the perfect boyfriend, for Heven. I doubt he’d be that awesome with me  He’s also grown, and even though he gets some major curve balls thrown at him, he survived. That in itself is just awesome. Riley has grown exponentially here. I know he thinks he’s a bad guy, but I know he isn’t. And now, I think even he can’t try to use that excuse. I would have totally high fived him, and then kisses him as he’s still the resident HAWT bad boy  I think he may have been the one to have the most character growth over all. Way to keep the bad boy bad, but put a little good in there too and make it real. I refuse to say a word about Cole. It’s not happening. But well played. I literally sighed with tears with his ending    Kimber is like freaking the Bermuda Triangle. Hot damn. You have made the perfect character to be the frenemy! She really does have some character growth, and though most will hate her, I seemed to maybe be leaning there after everything, I can’t help but think of that last thing she did. Or those times she helped. And then I think of that one big one, and I cringe. Extremely well played into the plot twist. I happen to maybe think Kimber has the most complexity of all the characters. And Gemma, is just still the coolest. My heart broke for her, throughout this whole series. I am so happy it maybe isn’t so broken anymore    This is the best writing I have seen from Cambria. She has taken my world on a fantastic roller coaster, made it completely addicting, and then still makes you smile when you know it’s over. I couldn’t have thought of a cooler way to end my series with a BANG! This is definitely some of the best writing from Ms Hebert. The action in this one, is beyond any of the others. I was enamored by how well the action scenes went.  I feel like I got a work out LOL You know it’s art when you can lose yourself completely, and I sure did. You would have had to cut off my fingers to stop me from page turning for me to stop… And my secret, is I still wouldn’t, as I don’t need my fingers to turn the pages of my kindle  I will forever be beautifully haunted by this series, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. There will never be another Heven and Hell for me, as I’ve already found mine  Heven’s treasure map led me right there into a world of awe inspiring beauty, full of magnificent characters, and a wonderful tale of good finally winning over evil. To my friends in the Heven and Hell world, I will see you again one day  To Cam, congratulations you wonderful, crazy, fantastic writer! You deserve so much more with this one, but my very rare 6 ANGELICALLY BRILLIANT, ALL ENCOMPASSING, INCREDIBLY MAGNIFICENT PAWS will hopefully be enough!
