Werewolves: A Field Guide to Shapeshifters, Lycanthropes, and Man-Beasts [NOOK Book]

Overview

Most of us are familiar with the idea of a werewolf—that someone can change, either deliberately or unwillingly, into a ravenous creature—but is there some justification for such a belief? And, if so, how is it achieved—through magical potions or ointments or simply by the light of the full moon? Or is the whole thing simply a form of delusion, the product of a disturbed mind?

In Werewolves, author Dr. Bob Curran examines the deep ...

Bob Curran examines the deep psychological perceptions about the linkage of man with the natural, bestial world. Do the roots of such a belief lie in the supernatural world, or are there other explanations? How has the discovery of feral children, living in the wild, shaped our ideas of human-beasts? And what is the future of such beliefs? The book considers genetically-based speculations regarding the possible fusion of human and animal genes in order to alleviate some human diseases and suffering. Is the idea of man into beast really so far fetched? Werewolves is an essential reference book which looks, in depth, at a fascinating subject. One word of warning though: it must never be read under the baleful rays of a full moon. You have been warned!

    Original Exceed Packs Rule Code

Okay! So in the introduction, I touched on a few of the rules in the Exceed Packs, but here are ALL of the rules, so read carefully.

    1. &sharp BE REALISTIC &sharp
The Exceed Packs will all be realistic packs. This means no wolves will be permitted to have powers, wings, or unrealistic coat colors. It will be up to the Alphas of each pack to determine which coats are realistic and which ones aren't, but just a tip: real wolves do not have spots, stripes, or symbols on their fur. Another aspect of this rule us that no animals other than wolves will be allowed to speak or join packs. Special emphasis on cats. Wolves in real life would eat cats, not chat with them like they were having a cup of tea.

    2. &sharp NO HEALER WOLF &sharp
As stated above, the Exceed Packs are realistic. This means no 'healer' or 'medicine wolf'. There are no Healer wolves or herb use in general by wolves in wild, there will be none here. So if you are mildly injured or sick, whatever. You'll heal. Don't freak out. WAIT. If you become fatally injured or extremely sick, there is NO magical cure, or herb, or healer to help you. Keep that in mind when you want to be all dramatic and have a tree fall on you and break every bone in your body, or catch a deadly sickness. You are probably going to die.

    3. &sharp FOLLOW REAL PACK RANKS &sharp
In the Exceed Packs, there will only be Alphas, Betas, Gammas, Deltas, Hunters, Scouts, Pups, and Omegas, in that order of dominance. Three Omegas AT MOST will be allowed in each pack. Real packs have more ranks, but for the sake of no confusing everybody, we'll keep it to that.

    4. &sharp ONLY RP WITHIN THE EXCEED PACKS &sharp
As stated in the introduction, there are six packs, one of which is evil. You cannot rp with any other packs that pop up. If they post on your territory, ignore them completely. Same with clans. No interaction at all.

    5. &sharp FOLLOW ACTUAL SEASONS &sharp
Inside the Exceed Packs, one week will equal one season in rp. That means over one real month, we will go through one year in rp. There is a place to vote in certain weather conditions among the 'lycanthrope' reses. We are starting with Spring. Yes, we are going by actual season names, no cat ones. We are wolf packs, not clan cats.

Any questions on rules, ask me of your Alpha. DO NOT POST HERE!!! I know people will anyway, because many seem to have trouble following instructions, but we want to keep this res as decluttered as possible.
