Western Underground/Whatcha Gonna Do with a Cowboy/Under This Old Hat

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
BGO's 2013 three-fer combines Chris LeDoux's three commercial comeback albums from the early '90s -- 1991's Western Underground, 1992's Whatcha Gonna Do with a Cowboy, and 1993's Under This Old Hat -- over the course of two discs. LeDoux may not offer a compelling reason for somebody to listen to his albums, but once you start, it's hard not to get sucked into his modulated swagger and cheerful shuffles. His gift is his easy touch, which is why LeDoux was never a star, but it's also why his albums have aged well.
