This book is part of a series but you don’t need to read any of the other books to follow along. This was a very entertaining book and by far one of the best that I have read. It is a romantic suspense but if there was a category for action romance, I would put it in that category because it was action packed.
Westin’s Chase is about Jared Westin and Lilly “Sugar” Chase. Jared is the leader of a Black Ops Organization named Titan that does covert missions for the United States Government. Sugar, a former ATF intelligence agent owns a weapons supply company called GUNS, and she supplies Titan with all of their weapons. When Titan returns from a seemingly successful rescue mission in Afghanistan, they learn that there was another person who was left behind that the government wasn’t aware of. That person was Sugar. Although there was chemistry between Jared and Sugar, they had never dated or anything. However, Jared moves heaven and earth to rescue Sugar and keep her safe.
The team soon finds out that rescuing Sugar was just the tip of the iceberg. Sugar had been set-up to take the fall for some shady dealings being done by Titan’s rival GSI. Consequently, Sugar’s life is constantly in danger. As Jared and Sugar spend more and more time together, they begin a steamy love affair that neither one of them is sure will last. The banter that they share is funny and shows how much they are meant to be together no matter how much they try to hide their true feelings. But don’t be confused, there is enough bloodshed and gunplay to compensate for the romance.
Of all the books that I have read in the past year, this is by far the best. It plays out like a good action/adventure movie. I hope that I can find more books like this one to read and I highly recommend it.

This book is right up my alley. I like special ops books with romance, nothing like strong females thawing the heart of a special op member who vows to never bring someone into the life to protect them.
This is book is part of a series that I have not read. So I have started the series in the middle, however the book can stand alone and provides enough background to assume situations that took place. This book was a quick and enjoyable read for me.
If you are a fan of Lora Leigh series tempting seals or black ops then this book will be a good one for you.

I am so in love with this series! This book is all about Jared Westin falling in love. Jared is the tough leader/owner of the Titan group where each of these books is based on a different member of the group. In the first two books, Winter's Heat and Garrison's Creed, Jared Westin is presented as the "boss man" i.e. bad-a$$ guy who tells them all what to do and signs the paychecks. He seems to have a general rule of only taking on military contracts that are honorable. He wants his team to be the good guys in each skirmish they find themselves in, but he also appears to be a bit of a womanizer. He thinks love is for everyone else. If it works for them, great. Otherwise, get what you need and give the girl what she needs, then get out. Actually he treated dating like one of his contracts if you really think about it. Well in this book, he learns that love will find its way into your life just when you least expect it. Everyone else on his team already thought that he and Lilly Chase (i.e. Sugar) were involved. It isn't until Sugar winds up needing rescuing from Afghanistan that Jared discovers what everyone else already knew.
On the other side of this equation is Sugar. She already knows that Jared's flirts and barbs are taking on an edge that she doesn't think is good for their professional relationship. She does what any woman afraid of falling in love would do; she runs away. She tries to run away a few times only for Jared to chase her down and rescue her over and over again. I love the development of Jared and Sugar's feelings for one another. They are so different than the characters in the other two books. In a way you feel like they are completely incompatible until you see that they are so much alike. Of course that doesn't make their relationship destined to succeed.
It's a fantastic addition to the Titan series. I love the writing. I love the military aspect that shows in their actions but also in their language. These are just fantastic books.

Another great book from Harber! Jared and Sugar are both bull headed and don't wait for anyone's help. They do what they want and I love that everyone calls Jared The Master of Everything. Jarred is calm and cool in stressful situations but Sugar can really test his limits... and believe me, they are tested! This book is action packed and has amazing sex scenes. The chemistry between Jared and Sugar is spot on and totally believable. Great series and I can't wait to read Brock's story. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
