Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 2-4-Beautiful, full-color photographs and simple, understandable text make for an attractive introduction to the ecology of wetlands. Stressing the importance and variety of these areas throughout the world, Matthews discusses the types of animal, plant, and bird life dependent upon these habitats for their survival. Youngsters will enjoy reading or listening to the text and will certainly appreciate the photographs. The interesting facts and important environmental concerns that are addressed may well raise readers' awareness. However, the lack of maps or an index limit this book's usefulness for report writers.-Eva Elisabeth Von Ancken, Trinity Pawling School, NY
