Hillman and Ventura are amazing. They dare you to think subversive thoughts, challenge you at every step, and absolutely don't give a hoot about what social norm they've stepped on. Warning! This book is not for the timid or immature. This book is also not strictly about psychology. It's about life and the immense challenge we all face. H & V go after shrinks, polluters, twelve-step programs, the government, insurance companies, churches, the 'inner child'--nearly everything that we take for granted here in the good ole US of A. The authors are not afraid to challenge the narrow worldview of American culture. Not afraid to stand up against phony Puritanism. This book doesn't give us the answers, but it asks the right questions. The answers are up to you.
