Overview

M. J. Holliday has the unusual ability to talk to the dead. But when it comes to a vengeful ghost and a mysterious drowning, this time she may be in over her head….

THAT SINKING FEELING

Kidwella Castle in northern Wales is rumored to be haunted by a deadly ghost—the Grim Widow, who allegedly drowns unsuspecting guests in the castle’s moat. Not long after M. J. and her crew arrive at the castle to film their ghost-hunting cable TV show, Ghoul Getters, two new victims are added to the Widow’s grisly roster.

Fear ripples through the castle, especially when it’s discovered that the victims may have had help into their watery graves from the land of the living. The local inspector suspects father-son serial killers, but M. J. thinks that theory is all wet. To catch the true culprit she will need to dive deep into the castle’s past and bring some long buried secrets to the surface.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Globetrotting TV producer M.J. and her team might have met their match in Wales when a haunted castle turns vengeful. This is number seven (after Ghoul Interrupted) in Laurie's fun paranormal series.
Publishers Weekly
Laurie nicely balances goofiness and terror in her delightful seventh Ghost Hunter mystery (after 2011’s Ghoul Interrupted). M.J. Holiday, Heath Whitefeather, Gilley Gillespie, and the rest of the investigative team for cable TV’s Ghoul Getters explore Wales’s haunted Kidwellah Castle, home of the ghostly Grim Widow, who’s strong enough to physically grapple with the living and is known for drowning victims in the castle moat. Determined to close the Widow down and free other ghosts the Widow has trapped, as well as expose the living people involved with these murders, M.J. and company dig into the history of the insane Lady Jane and her duke, whose spirit foretells death to those who see him.Romantic developments for M.J and Heath as well as for Gilley and a new beau will please series fans, while newcomers will slip into the story with ease.
