    story okay but...

The plot isn't bad, the characters are pretty engaging, but there are a few holes. How did they meet, how did they get to be such good friends, things like that are kind of forgotten about or glossed over. My biggest problem with this book, though, is the blatant disregard for fundamentals of grammar and spelling. Errors like loose/lose, bare/bear, reticent/reluctant, site/sight, waste/waist (that was a big one and happened not once but twice), and little lone/let alone - they were so horribly distracting throughout the entire book that I couldn't really enjoy it. Spell check is not your friend, people.

    Not What You Might Expect

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't a terribly long read but it at least held my attention for the entire book. The plot was interesting and stayed that way. The characters had a little deepth to them and followed the storyline to the end.

    So-So

It was OK, but really repetitive. Unfortunately, the author uses "loose" when she means " lose" many times throughout and it really got ridiculous. I realize it's a freebie, but some better proofreading would be nice!

    Ok

I have never read a book with such frustrating characters! Two well educated people who have been best friends for five years are unable to share their feelings with each other. SPEAK, people! A five minute conversation between the two of them at the beginning of the book would have saved me hours of wasted time. I just kept reading, hoping things would work out for Evan. I wanted to slap Charlie up side the head every time she said BUT HE DOESN'T LOVE ME, because he hasn't actually said the word. Wah. Despite all the sweet things he did for her, it took 571 pages for her to hear him say the word LOVE. Then all is peachy. Do yourself a favor, read the first 50 pages, then the last 50, and skip all the whining in between. Then you'd have an ok story.

Must you beat a dead horse?

Story is pretty good if you would just get to the point. I found myself skimming through large portions of unnecessary repetition.

Not a bad book. Story of friends becoming more than friends, and how they deal with it all. Situations were a little ongoing in the book though, the same things kept happening over and over.

    Loved it

I have unarchived this book so many times that I should just leave it out. Evan and Charlie(female) have been friends for years and they realize that their feelings have become different.Do they act on these feelings or just go on as they have? This book is 582 pages long and will keep you entertained from start to finish. I look forward to reading more by Ms. Howard.

    Foolish

I feel like a fool for reading the whole thing. The story started out good but then began to feel like a ping pong match of repetitive doubts between Charlie and Evan. I question if the author was merely draging the story out to fill more pages because the last half was unnecessary. Such a shame - it could've been such an enjoyable read instead of something that left me regretting having wasted several hours. Editing would help a ton.

    Ok

It started of pretty good, but drag a bit, the author kept repeating herself in the book ,with some editing this book would have been great, i actually skip pages which i hate doing, the character became very annoying , and thats never a good sign in a book!
