For this effort, they have synthesized strands of many of the different genres they have dabbled in over the years, resulting in something quite different from any of their previous work. The single "Because We Can" has an almost new wave sound with fizzing guitars, keyboard stabs, a college rock guitar solo, and hints of the country-pop they peddled on 2007's Lost Highway.
