An excellent and touching look at the bond between animals and humans

I am constantly amazed at the insight, compassion and empathy that some of us have with our animal friends. I am in awe at the understanding that author Diana Guerrero has for the animals who share our world and our hearts. This is an incredible book that was given to me last year and somehow got lost in the rush when I moved my office. I have just found it and spent until late last night reading it. I am glad to know that she and others share my close bond with my animals, who are my friends and who own me as much as I own them. Some parts of the book made me choke up as I remembered the loss of one of my pets to a degenerative disease of the spine. I cried more over Chester than I did when one of my less favored relatives died. He gave me unconditional love and wanted nothing else but to be loved by me. I also identified with her concern for wild animals. My wife and I contribute to a nature center just north of Atlanta, where the remarkable man there is raising white Siberian tigers, an almost extinct breed. Buy this book and buy several more for your friends who also love animals. I am looking forward to reading her latest book, Blessing of the Animals, when I receive it.

Great little book filled with animal stories!

We cannot keep this book in stock at my bookstore! Local author and animal behaviorist, Diana L. Guerrero has weaved engaging animal stories into a captivating book filled with tips and tidbits. Young and old love the tales from all over the globe. You will learn about animals and how people grow from their relationships with their critters. Guerrero also teaches you practical and innovative methods of improving your relationships with wild and domestic animals. Finally, she shares information about the animal soul debate--and her own heartwrenching story about the loss of her 'Clyde.'

The Animal Magnetism of Diana Guerrero

Don¿t think that Diana Guerrero advocates a new spiritual fad in advocating that we humans emulate animals. Aesop knew you can't be a human in dog's clothing. Guerrero asks us to stop, turn off the computer, TV, cell phone, and most of all our mental noise, and get attuned to the fundamentals through our animal teachers. She strikes the right balance between addressing humans' shortcomings and addressing the positive and negative qualities of animals. Authoritative, with intelligent discourse on nature, zoology, animal and human behavior, and religious teachings, this book is a great addition to your library as you search for higher meaning.

Integrating Mind, Body & Spirit w/ domestic and wild animals

Guerrero is in the unique position of integrating mind-body-spirit for both the homo sapien biped readers and the variety of domestic and wild animals she writes about from her actual hands on experience which parallels her own personal journey of personal tranformation. Highly Recommended!

What Animals Can Teach Us about Spirituality: Inspiring Lessons From Wild And Tame Creatures

This book will captivate you! Once I picked it up I could not stop reading. Guerrero shares her 25 plus years of professional animal experience and weaves a tapestry of tales about how we can learn and grow with animals. The book contains a handbook that teaches how to obtain better relationships with animals, includes references to other resources to help the reader in the quest for additional information, and ends with a very interesting section on animal souls. This is not a religious book, but a wonderful work on how animals can be guides.

Great book, Great lessons ... A lot for us, humans, to learn from animals!

I bought this book because I wanted to better understand the animal world and deepen my connection with the feline world. I read it and really enjoyed it. I'm hoping this book will help me strengthen the bond with my own animal companions as well as with the homeless animals I'm involved with, in rescue. I loved this book so much that I bought another copy and gave it to a friend who, not only is an animal lover but also works with dogs in the complex and always challenging world of "doggie daycare." She, too, loved the book.
