Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Here is an extremely well done book for children in the intermediate grades. Wet lands are well documented through the illustrations, diagrams, photographs and drawings. Details are well explained and should be understandable to children. The threat to ecosystems is a central theme. The text is appropriate and uses highlighted words for new vocabulary. There is a Glossary and an Index that also support learning and enjoyment. As a good resource on the wetlands, this book should be a part of school and public library collections. It is also available in an affordable paperback for children to have a copy of their own. Part of the "The Science of Living Things" series. 2003, Crabtree Publishing Company,
