What Could Be
B"H (B'ezrat HaShem - with the help of HaShem). What Could Be. The difference between what is, and what has yet to be touched; what has yet to be reached; what has yet to be seen and felt. What Could Be.

All that we are missing, and all that is possible, lies in that space, waiting to be discovered. Nothing stands in the way but the empty space before us, and what we have chosen to fill that space with.

"Just as You are the true G-d, so let my faith in You be true and sound, until I can actually feel Your G-dly power in my life. Let me always be attached to You. Let me never separate myself from You, not even for the briefest moment" (The Fiftieth Gate, Likutey Tefilot, Vol 1, The Power of Prayer, p147).

We can look to the heavens. We can reach beyond ourselves. Like the photo on the cover, from wherever we are, we can stand as we are, slowly look above our circumstances, all the way to the heavens and know with certainty, that HaShem looks upon us. We've only to look to Him, and look for Him, in everything. Such is the vortex that draws us up and away, up and beyond the limitations of this earthly existence.

What could be, is that the One G-d of Israel has made a space for each of us, to be absorbed into His Presence, His essence, every day of our lives. We've only to look for it, to seek it, to find it, and to enter it, in the lofty holy places of this earthly journey.

About the Author

Born: James Moehsmer, Mar 14, 1958 (Adar 22, 5718). Writing under my chosen Jewish name: Ya’akov ben Avraham. Married, 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 20 yrs of military service - retired. Twenty years plus of study and research looking for what HaShem truly expects. Writing for over 40 years. A simple person; given a 1% Jewish ethnicity, a soul, thrown into the body of a gentile at birth, diverted off course (in my opinion), for HaShem’s purpose, to land 70 miles from the Chabad Headquarters at birth, to go through a process from error to truth, from idolatry in the xtian church to HaShem; raised in the Catholic church, going through various flavors of xianity, a solid year (2012) doing volunteer work on an Indian reservation, 6 total in serving there, including a 3 month stint filling in for a Pastor (forgive me HaShem), and at the end of that time a visit by a Jewish woman from Israel, whose prayer in Hebrew turned me completely around toward Israel; then to a messianic Torah group, and finally to Judaism (a covenant with HaShem, not a religion), Torah and HaShem. Constantly learning and growing closer to HaShem.
